Posture Works I'm a trauma-informed somatic teacher and movement coach and love working with people who have scoliosis and spinal conditions.

I help clients move more efficiently and help them process the trauma and anxiety that often accompany these conditions. I have an idiopathic scoliosis and have retrained to help and support others with scoliosis and spinal conditions.

🌿 Change and Transition 🌿

This year has been one of deep change for me. Losing both my husband and mother-in-law has left me navigating grief in ways I never imagined. It’s shifted my perspective on life and work, and left me asking: what feels sustainable, meaningful, and true right now?

I am still coaching, but I’m tapping into that deep inner tuition — a inner compass of what truly feels sustainable in this season. I poured myself into somatic coaching — supporting others through pain, posture, and trauma. That work will always be close to my heart, but right now, I also need a different focus. One that draws on my strengths, gives me purpose, and offers the steadiness I need while I move through my own healing.

This moment feels like a natural turning — a letting go, but also a gathering of what will carry me forward. I’m returning to the work I’ve done for 30+ years: supporting individuals and businesses with organisation, clarity, and creative solutions. Alongside this, I’ll also be mentoring others as they step into their own growth and learning journeys.

I’ll share more in my next post, but for now, I want to thank everyone who has walked alongside me in this transition. 💜

| FEET |

The one body part people seem to neglect. The human foot is a complex structure made up of 26 bones, 33 joints, and over 100 muscles, tendons, and ligaments. This intricate network allows for a wide range of motion and provides stability as we walk, run, and jump.

Muscles in the foot can be divided into intrinsic muscles (which originate and insert within the foot) and extrinsic muscles (which originate in the leg and insert in the foot). The intrinsic muscles help with fine motor control and maintain the arches, while the extrinsic muscles are crucial for powerful movements.

Ligaments in the foot, like the plantar fascia, play a vital role in providing support and maintaining the foot's shape. With such a crucial role in our mobility and overall health, it’s essential to give our feet the attention and care they require, just like any other part of our body. Regular stretching, proper footwear, and foot exercises can help keep them healthy and functioning well!
