🛎 Update 27/5/20 🛎
As of 1st June 2020 we will slowly be resuming LIMITED services. We appreciate your patience whilst we try to adapt to these ever changing times but please keep in mind that ‘business as normal’ is still a way off yet. Below are some of the steps we will be taking in response to COVID 19.
✅ Increased PPE will be in place.
☎️ Everyone will be contacted prior to the scheduled appointment to confirm that neither the practitioner or patient are showing any symptoms.
📍We may discuss the option of carrying out treatment outside where possible or necessary.
💳 Payment by cheque or card preferred.
💰 Prices to remain the same. * * * This could be subject to change if more rigorous PPE is required over a long period of time.

❗️ Update 23/04/20 ❗️
Hello everyone, we hope you are all keeping well. I thought I would just post a further update on here for those of you who keep in touch online with us.
⛔️ All routine appointments still remain cancelled until further notice. We know most of you are understanding of why we cannot operate business at the moment and with social distancing measures still in place this is set to continue for a while yet and unfortunately we cannot give you a ‘set’ time scale of when we might return to work. We appreciate this is disappointing for some of you, particularly if you are suffering in discomfort without your routine visits. However the risk is still not worth chancing even if YOU don’t mind us coming please understand that we must comply with the rules for everyone’s safety.
✅ Prices are to REMAIN the same when business does finally start up again. We’ve had a few questions about if our prices will be going up when we return to work, no they will not be going up. We have always appreciated loyalty from the very beginning at Foot Care Medway and despite the exceptional circumstances this won’t change.
✅ We WILL be in touch with each and every one of you as soon as we get the go ahead. But please keep in mind that appointments still could be limited to start with due to prioritising the safety of some tiny feet that are due to enter the world very shortly!
✅ And on that note a lot of you are wanting to know how we are getting on, the team plus bump are well and safe which is the biggest priority for all of us right now. Thank you for all the calls, texts and messages checking in with us. 👍🏻

🦶 6 years of Foot Care Medway 🦶
Foot Care Medway turns 6 today! Some of you have been with us since the very beginning while others have joined along the years. We have grown from a team of two to a team of three Foot Health Practitioners in the time of we first started, and it’s fair to say that the last few weeks have been the strangest and hardest part of our journey so far... But we know that all of you will be feeling exactly the same way now so we would like to take the time to thank you all for the continued support over the years and we look forward to seeing you again once the world is a little bit safer. Our job is so fulfilling because of the people we get to meet and the individual bonds we have made with you all over the years, and it is because of that and because we care that for now we can’t say when ‘business as normal’ will be, so until we meet again we hope you are all staying safe and well -

We would like to update everyone on the situation as things currently stand (20/03/20) as we have had a lot of enquiries in the last week.
Business resumes as normal for all those who wish to continue their routine appointments.
However for anyone who feels that they want to delay any scheduled upcoming appointments until further notice we fully understand this decision. ☎️
IF you have travelled out the country, been unwell or have somebody in the household who shows any symptoms of Coronavirus within the last 14 days PLEASE ring and rearrange your appointment. ✈️🌡
I (Grace) have decided it’s in my best interest under recent circumstances to take earlier than planned maternity leave. Therefore anybody who is expecting Grace in the upcoming weeks will be contacted in due course to confirm which alternative member of Foot Care Medway will be attending instead. ☎️📧

What’s that lump on my foot ? 🦶

Callus build up is increasingly common and occurs for lots of different reasons:
•Poor choice of footwear
•Excess pressure (weight, aching joints)
•Gait (the way you walk)
•Hereditary causes
Callus can be painful or often just an uncomfortable ‘lump’ across the sole of the foot. As you can see the callus can be small or as large and thick as this (for reference this was about the size of a 50 pence.) If left untreated they can become more of a problem.
