The Real Meaning of Resilience

Resilience isn’t about being endlessly strong or pretending things don’t hurt.

It’s about how we respond, recover and realign when life feels stressful, messy or uncertain.

For me, true resilience is an energetic state, a return to centre, even when the world feels chaotic.

So if you are feeling stretched right now, take a deep breath, place a hand on your heart and remind yourself:

Pause, Rest, Breathe and Reset. 💚

Pause, Rest, and Breathe

Here, in this moment of stillness,
may we remember that
we are allowed to pause.
We are allowed to rest,
to breathe deeply,
to care for ourselves
even as the day unfolds
without us for a while.

We may drink our tea slowly,
wrap ourselves in warmth,
or simply sit and notice the quiet.

We may stretch,
let our shoulders fall,
let our minds wander
into spaces where nothing must be done.

Nothing is lost in this pause.
Everything continues,
softly,
steadily,
and somehow,
so do we.

And when we rise,
we carry the calm with us,
aware of the small, tender moments
we may previously have missed or overlooked.

The world does not stop,
but we have learned
how to stop within it,
how to rest,

Q: I've had problems for a very long time - will that hinder the therapy?
