Today we were joined by Emily from Rosebuds Beauty. Residents were able to enjoy a bit of a pamper with their chosen beauty treatment and it was also a lovely opportunity for residents to spend some time together having a cuppa and a catch up!

A little peak at sunshine had us in full Spring clean mode this week.

Like most, we have stored and gathered all manner of things in our sheds and greenhouse that are no longer needed. HOURS and HOURS of hard work later and everywhere is looking fresh , clean and organized at last. The green house is now a lovely welcoming space that allows lots of residents to be involved making our gardens even more beautiful.

A huge well-done to everyone involved.

At Sunley, we are passionate about doing our bit to recycle and reuse. ♻️ We have an extensive recycling area in the scheme where people can recycle everything from batteries and glasses , single use plastic , water filters and even Bra's!

That's not all though. We also believe that one person's rubbish is another person's treasure and that's why we host regular Sunley Swop shops .
Residents bring along any unwanted items - from clothing and shoes to homeware and books . In exchange, they can take away whatever they like. It's an opportunity to have a good clear out and ensure that unwanted items have the chance to be re-loved rather than end up in landfill.
The events are a huge success and lots of treasures are exchanged. Anything left over gets donated to the charity shop! 💚

Last night saw the first ever ExtraCare Staff awards and we are absolutely thrilled to announce that out of all the staff across the company - Sunley Courts Joanne took home the CARE HERO OF THE YEAR award!!
This award was given to celebrate a carer who goes above and beyond to make a real difference in residents lives every day .
Joanne is a wonderful carer and a real asset to our team. She is so deserving of the award and we are all so proud of her .

Today we go Orange for Sebastian 🧡
Not only are we remembering and honouring a very Brave little boy - Sebastian, we are also raising funds for such a valuable service - Kettering youth works .
