🥞 Happy Shrove Tuesday! 🥞

What a flipping great day at the Nursing Home! There were plenty of laughs from our residents as we practiced our pancake-flipping skills too!

It was a lovely afternoon filled with smiles, sweet treats, and wonderful memories shared together. 💛

Thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make today so special — sometimes it’s the simple moments (and pancakes!) that mean the most.

We’ve been feeling the love this week! Our residents enjoyed a lovely Valentine’s celebration filled with creativity, baking, and friendship.

It was wonderful to see so many smiles, laughter, and special moments shared together. 💕

🌸 Nostalgia in Action! 🌸

Our residents have been enjoying a very special activity lately — nostalgia! Taking time to reflect on life’s treasured moments, we’ve been bringing memories to life through picture collages.

This heartwarming activity has sparked lovely conversations, gentle smiles, and joyful recollections, reminding us all of the unique stories and experiences that make each resident so special. It’s been wonderful to see memories shared, laughter exchanged, and friendships strengthened along the way. 💛

Over the past weekend we’ve been getting into the spirit of the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch here at Countryview! 🐦💚

Our residents have loved spotting feathered visitors, chatting about their favourites, and enjoying a little extra time connecting with nature. From busy robins to curious sparrows, it’s been a joy to watch the garden come alive and share memories inspired by birdsong.

A lovely reminder that simple moments can bring so much happiness. 🌼

🎄✨ Christmas Outings to Seasons Garden Centre ✨🎄

We were delighted to enjoy 5 festive trips to Seasons Garden Centre, with 18 of our residents and 6 family members joining us ❤️

From twinkling lights to Christmas cheer, these outings were all about making memories and creating special Christmas moments together. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, laughter, and shared joy during this magical time of year 🎅🎄

Our new interactive screen continues to bring so much joy to our residents — from singing along to The Sound of Music to enjoying a variety of games together. 🎶💚

A big thank you to our wonderful residents who helped label our home-grown (thank you Gardner Joseph 👨‍🌾) home-prepared (thank you Chef Matt 👨‍🍳) green tomato chutney! It’s now all ready to be sold to resident families, friends, and visitors. Pop in and pick some up as you’re passing — all proceeds go directly to the Residents’ Fund. 🫙🌿🍅🍅

Last week we took delivery of our latest technical investment — a mobile interactive curved touch-screen!

This amazing piece of tech allows residents to enjoy interactive games, personalised activities, and therapeutic sessions anywhere in the home, helping to support emotional well-being and cognitive health.

Our residents, activities team, and of course Parsnip the Cat, have absolutely loved exploring the immersive experiences it offers! 🐾💛

Here’s to even more creativity, connection, and joy in our home!
