KGH Chest Drain Course We provide training in chest drain insertion and management, using seminars and practical sessions, for medical professionals of all specialties.

Welcome to the Kettering Chest Drain Insertion Course. We provide full day courses, at competitive prices, with 6 CPD points accredited. Teaching is aimed at all medical grades and specialties, whether you are looking for a refresher or to deepen your knowledge of chest drain insertion and management. Our courses offer a comprehensive overview of pre-insertion considerations, procedural skills, complications and management. Although the focus is on seldinger drains, training in surgical insertion is also covered for those who require it. Hot lunch is provided! Course lead: Dr Nasir Siddique

Unfortunately our October course will not be going ahead this year due to COVID restrictions. We expect to be back with 2 courses in 2021, and will confirm dates as soon as we can.

Due to the pandemic we have had to cancel the Chest Drain Course which was due to run in April. Courses normally run in April and October each year, and currently we expect the October course will run as normal. We will update in due course.
