We’ve introduced a brand new session at our Kettering centre recently: History and Model Making! 🛠️📚

We're bringing learning to life by exploring different moments in history through hands-on model building.

We’ve kicked things off by creating 3D models of vintage cars and planes, while learning about the history behind them.

And this is just the beginning - the end goal of the course is to design and build our very own cardboard model castle, so watch this space!

This session is a great example of co-production in action.

We’re always listening to what our members want to learn and take part in, shaping activities around their interests while building confidence, skills and creativity 💙

A huge thank you to Smurfit Westrock Litho+ for their incredibly generous £1,000 donation towards our electric minibus fundraising 🙌

We were delighted to welcome Amanda Kane and Tom Stephens to our Corby centre to present the cheque, and we’re so grateful for their support.

Raising funds for an electric minibus is our key fundraising focus in 2026, and donations like this will make a real difference in helping our members access more opportunities, activities and community experiences 💙

If you’re new here, we’re Teamwork Trust 👋

We’re a Northamptonshire charity supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and mild mental health challenges across our centres in Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough.

We offer a safe, welcoming environment where our members can build confidence, develop life and work skills, make friends and take part in meaningful activities and opportunities.

Everything we do is shaped by our members, with the aim of supporting each person to achieve their own version of independence.

If you’d like to get involved, there are lots of ways to do so and we'd love to hear from you.

From volunteering or partnering with us, to supporting our member-led enterprises or simply following along to see what we’re up to 💙

When Sarah from the The National Lottery visited our Kettering centre 🙌

Sarah came to see the progress we’ve made through funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.

We’ve refurbished our Learning and Opportunities Hub, expanded our My Enterprise programme, and created dedicated spaces for each enterprise to thrive.

It was a great opportunity to show how the funding has made a real difference to our members - improving our environment, expanding opportunities and helping us build a centre we’re truly proud of ✨

A huge thank you to The National Lottery Community Fund for their continued support, and to Sarah for spending time with us all.

A day full of creativity and independence with our Corby members 💙

Jack, John and Robert took part in woodwork, making a frame for a flower or candle and enjoying the process of glueing, sanding, oiling and shaping the wood.

With Discover Craft, Mark, Jack, Amy and Steven created pens, hand mirrors and bookmarks - all while having a laugh over a cuppa with friends.

Our creative garden ornament group made great progress painting pieces that we hope will sell well at our Spring auction.

And our cooking group made a delicious chilli con carne from scratch, using only fresh ingredients.

Sessions like these are all about building skills, confidence and independence, while enjoying time together and taking pride in what’s been created 🙌

Great work, team! 👏

Oliver had a brilliant one-to-one baking session making cupcakes 🧁💙

He worked through the whole process himself - reading the recipe, weighing and measuring ingredients, sifting and mixing, counting out cupcake cases, baking and decorating.

Oliver was so proud of his cupcakes, and boxed some up to take home.

A great session building confidence, independence and life skills… and they looked delicious too! 😍

Our dedicated transitions service supports young adults as they take their next steps into adulthood, transitioning from school and college 💙

Our supportive, structured environment allows young people to build confidence, develop life and work skills, and take part in sessions that reflect their interests and goals.

Every journey looks different, and we work alongside each person to help them prepare for adulthood and achieve their own version of independence.

It’s been an exciting start to the year across our three centres! Here are just a few things we’ve been up to 👇

1) Corby members visited The Core At Corby Cube to watch Rapunzel, and we couldn’t resist a few photos with the stars of the show!

2) Donald and Tristram made a new sign for our Learning and Opportunities Hub in Kettering 👏

3 )JP tried pyrography for the first time and made a lovely gift for his mum.

4) We enjoyed a sit and stay fit session with Sara - staying seated while exercising using the rhythm of the music.

5) We had a very successful first music session with our Kettering volunteer Dan, using some new instruments.

6) We said farewell to our fabulous volunteer Helen, who has been with us for a fun-filled few months. She has a new job and we wished her all the very best 💐

7) Our Learning and Opportunities Hub has been a hive of activity, including a product design session.

8) We’ve also played lots of educational games in the hub, including time bingo - reinforcing and embedding our time skills ⏰

9) Our Corby science group explored density and checked out if objects float or sink, and why.

10) Also in Corby, our Journo Club worked on a new article - ready to be included in our monthly email newsletter 📝

We hope you’ve enjoyed a brilliant start to the year!

We’re looking to welcome new trustees to Teamwork Trust 💙

Our brilliant board plays a vital role in guiding our growth and ensuring we continue to deliver high-quality, inclusive support for our members.

We already benefit from a wonderfully diverse mix of skills and experience, and we’re particularly keen to hear from:

- People from minoritised ethnic groups

- Individuals with lived experience

- Those with expertise in commercial property or the legal profession

If you can bring a fresh perspective and would like to help shape the future of a values-led charity, we’d love to hear from you.

To find out more or express an interest, please contact our CEO, Helen Burdett-Wright, at HelenBW@teamworktrust.co.uk

Confidence, independence and real-world experience - that’s what Kali’s volunteering journey is all about 👏

Kali has been volunteering with RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch for several months, and she now does so independently, with minimal staff support.

She’s a valued part of the team, taking on responsibilities across customer service, stock management, shop maintenance and working alongside colleagues in a busy retail environment.

This placement has played a huge role in building Kali’s confidence, practical skills and independence, and it’s supporting her aspiration of one day moving into paid work in retail.

For our members, opportunities like this are an important step between learning and employment - and Kali is a brilliant example of that journey in action.

This programme has been supported by Adult Learning - Northamptonshire and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, helping create meaningful pathways into the community.

We’re incredibly proud of Kali and everything she’s achieved, and very grateful to the RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch for providing such a positive, supportive opportunity 💙

This will make you smile 😊🎶

As we were setting up for choir, Tyler sang along using his Makaton signs.

He’s never happier than when he’s rocking out and enjoying the music - such a lovely moment to capture 💙

A little reminder of what we’re all about - teamwork really does make the dream work 💙
