We recently had a visit from the Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service at our Corby centre! 🚒

The crew gave our members an insightful talk about fire safety and how to stay safe at home, before showing us around the fire engine and all the equipment.

We even got to give the hose a try!

It was a brilliant visit and a great way to learn some important safety tips in an engaging way.

A BIG thank you to the team for spending time with us 👏

We’re incredibly proud that Plumbase Wellingborough have chosen us as their Charity of the Year for 2026! 💙

To start the partnership, some of our members visited the store to look around, learn more about the business and spend time with the team.

Experiences like this are a great way to connect with local organisations and allow our members to see different workplaces in action.

Plumbase have lots of amazing fundraising plans lined up, including a golf day in July and a sponsored walk in August.

All funds raised will support our EV Minibus fundraising efforts - helping us improve access to opportunities, activities and community connections for our members.

A sincere thank you to Paul and the entire Plumbase Wellingborough team for choosing us, welcoming our members, and supporting us in empowering every ability together 🙌

This week is Neurodiversity Celebration Week 💙

The week is about recognising and celebrating the strengths, talents and perspectives of neurodivergent people, while also challenging stereotypes and misconceptions.

Inspired by Genius Within, we’ve created this Neuroinclusivity Awareness Bingo card.

See how many you can tick off this week, to spark conversations, learn more about neurodiversity and explore how we can all help create more inclusive environments 🙌

Meet John Akers, our Post 16 Transitions Lead 👋

John plays a key role in supporting young people as they transition from school and college into adulthood.

Through our transitions programme, he helps young people build confidence, develop life and work skills, and discover what their future could look like.

With the right guidance, encouragement and opportunities, those first steps into adulthood can open up a world of possibility, and that’s exactly what John is here to lead 💙

Volunteers play a hugely important role at Teamwork Trust 💙

We welcome both individual volunteers and corporate teams who support our members in many different ways.

For us, volunteering is never a one-way street. We take the time to get to know our volunteers, understand their aspirations and match them with opportunities where they can make a real difference.

Volunteering strengthens community connections and creates meaningful opportunities for everyone involved. For many people, it’s also a pathway into employment, education or simply building confidence.

Every volunteer brings something different, but the impact is the same: Helping us empower every ability and support our members to thrive.

If you’d like to know more about volunteering with us, please send us a message - we’d love to hear from you ✨

A big thank you to Lesley, our Tesco Community Champion, and the team at Smurfit Westrock for their recent donations! 💙

Lesley's fabulous Tesco donation included lots of ingredients we can use in our cooking sessions, and goodies for our Easter party.

Amanda from Smurfit Westrock popped in to bring a donation of gift hampers, and the team from Smurfit Westrock will be visiting us again in March to help us redecorate our Kettering centre 🤩

We’re incredibly grateful for the support of our community partners!

We celebrated World Book Day at our book club in Kettering 📚💙

The group come together each week to share the joy of reading, explore stories and exchange ideas.

It’s also a great way to build confidence in reading and speaking in front of others.

And everyone loved celebrating this year’s iconic World Book Day together!

It’s been a very busy couple of weeks at our centres with a varied range of sessions and activities 🤩

From planting trees to aromatherapy workshops…

Our members have taken advantage of the sunny weather and planted a range of trees including Hawthorn, Silver Birch, Hazel, Blackthorn, Oak, and Rowen ☀️

In Corby, we hosted a crafty math session and created some Yin Yang whales using a compass and a ruler 🐳

In Wellingborough, members cooked up a storm in a healthy cooking session - they practiced fine cutting, handling big knives, and discussed some healthy eating options 🧑‍🍳

We also enjoyed an aromatherapy session with Lissa and Sienna from Bloomsbury Essence . It was a very relaxing session with hand baths, different essential oils, and hand massages!

And now it’s Monday and we’re very excited for another action-packed week across our centres.

Our members enjoyed their first game of carpet bowls at our Corby centre 👏

Thanks to funding from we have carpets in all three of our centres, giving our members the chance to get active, try something new and enjoy a sport together.

Sessions like this are a great way to build confidence, coordination and teamwork, while bringing everyone together for some friendly competition and fun.

A huge thank you to for making this possible 💙

Did you know crisp packets can do more than hold snacks? 😲

Our member Tyler has led the Crisp Packet Project at our Kettering centre.

The project transforms empty crisp packets into heat-reflective survival blankets for people experiencing homelessness or in need of emergency support.

Packets are collected across our centres, cut open, washed and fused together using heat, before being backed with recycled plastic to create waterproof, windproof warmth.

Tyler has independently championed the entire process, and his dedication has led to the creation of 22 completed blankets.

We recently welcomed the lovely Frank from Kettering Street Pastors and proudly handed the blankets over. He shared how grateful the team were, and that they’ll make a real difference on cold nights in our community.

Projects like this show what’s possible when creativity, sustainability and community come together, turning waste into practical support for those who need it most.

We’re incredibly proud of Tyler, our whole Teamwork Trust community, and the difference this project will make 🙌
