We had the most wonderful time at the Castle Theatre, Wellingborough watching Beauty & the Beast 🎄✨

We filled the theatre with festive cheer, big smiles and plenty of laughter.

Sharing experiences, enjoying time together and feeling part of something special is what this time of year is all about.

And this trip was just that 💙

A huge thank you to the Castle Theatre and the cast for such a brilliant performance!

A wonderful festive surprise! We received a £300 Christmas donation from the Kettering Lions 💙

David Wagg, pictured with Olly and Tanya, visited our Kettering centre to present the cheque, sharing:

"You do such marvellous work across your three centres, we wanted to surprise you with a Christmas donation for such a wonderful organisation."

Our jewellery enterprise is officially up and running! 💙

Thanks to the brilliant fundraising efforts of Cllr Lora Lawman and the continued support of The National Lottery Community Fund, our new jewellery workshop has joined our growing collection of member-led enterprises.

The jewellery sessions help our members develop fine motor skills, build creativity, practice patience and focus on their attention to detail - all while making something they’re proud of, in a calm, purposeful environment.

Our member Robson, who appears in these photos, summed it up perfectly:

“I really enjoy making jewellery. It’s very relaxing and gives me valuable thinking time.” 💬

We’re looking for local Northamptonshire businesses who would like to partner with us to create meaningful opportunities for our members 💙

Work placements and volunteering roles give our members the chance to build skills, grow in confidence and feel part of their local community - and they make a real difference to the businesses who get involved too.

Current partnerships include:

• Myton Food Group, where Norman volunteers weekly in the staff canteen as part of his journey towards paid work

• RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch, where Kali supports the team and gains valuable workplace experience

These opportunities are carefully organised and supported by our team, ensuring both the business and the member have a positive, structured and purposeful experience.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support of local businesses who already partner with us. Their generosity and belief in what we do help us offer the rich, meaningful lived experiences our members deserve.

Our transitions service supports school and college leavers as they build the skills they need for a more independent future 💙

Meet Joel.

Joel first came to Teamwork Trust in Year 13 while attending Isebook School, joining us for a work placement.

During his placement, Joel enjoyed the work skills sessions, and he loved the friendly atmosphere and the chance to learn new things.

He then officially joined us in 2022, and has truly thrived since then.

Some of his favourite things about being part of Teamwork Trust include:

🙌 Spending time with friends

⚽️ Taking part in sports activities

👏 Helping students on their work skills placements

⛳️ Going on trips – especially visiting Hunstanton for crazy golf (and getting a hole in one!)

Since joining us, Joel says his confidence has grown, he’s made lots of new friends, and his writing and maths skills have improved.

Joel brings huge enthusiasm to everything he does and we’re so proud of everything he’s achieved 🙌 Well done Joel!

Our first Mario Kart Championship was a huge success, with 16 racers revving up their engines! 🏎️🏁

After two heats, a semi-final and a final, we had a worthy winner: Sam from Riverside Printers, who was presented with his trophy by our Fundraising & Volunteering Executive, Judy.

A huge shout out to everyone who took part, everyone who helped make the event possible, and to Savoy Corby for being brilliant hosts 👏

We love our new Learning and Opportunities Hub in Wellingborough! 🥳 Here are just a few of the activities we’ve been hosting:

We’ve held money management sessions with Andrea from Northampton Mencap.

We’ve held lots of our games and challenge sessions in the Hub.

We created a display for our coffee morning, and also designed posters for the event using the computer workstations.

And our new smart boards helps us access materials to support the sessions - like when we listened to audiobooks on National Read an Ebook Day.

The Hub is a lovely, bright, modern space for fun, games and educational sessions, and it was funded by The National Lottery Community Fund 🙌

A little look at the transformation of our Kettering centre ceiling 🙌

Part of our Going for Zero project, this upgrade is helping us create a more comfortable, sustainable and energy-efficient space for our members.

A big thank you to everyone who supported and donated their time and expertise to make it happen - we’re so grateful 💙

Next up in Kettering: We’ve built dedicated areas for each of our My Enterprise offerings, and we’re nearing completion of our new reception area and learning hub!
