We had a wonderful screening of this week at the Odeon in MK. There were midwives, doulas, breastfeeding supporters, parents, mothers, pregnant women. A real grouping of people seeking and sharing physiological home birth, with or without medical presence.

It was truly inspiring to be surrounded by such immense power and desire for better. Truth that we can birth outside this medical disaster we currently have.

At the end of the screening we shared our voices, some narrative and words that came to us during the screening. Here is a gift of the word storm of words created by the audience. This is a spell for the reclamation of home birth and physiological birth.

A few years old now, my amazing birthers doing a serious face selfie. Both these beautiful peeps were born well and I want that for everyone having babies. Birth is the start of everything.

"Passionate action that is led by the ego has a feeling of neediness in it. There is a sense that the outcome “has to be” or else my life is missing something it needs to be complete. When passionate feelings comes from the higher self, there is an intensity, but also a feeling of completeness and peacefulness inherent throughout the process. Inside there is a feeling of fulfillment already, and so there is no desperation or sense of lack at any point in the desire or action-it feels easy and enjoyable from beginning to end."

Question: How we can differentiate the desires of our ego with the passion that comes from our inner self? When I feel with "all my heart" that I need to do something, and my heart is literally bumping fast when I have this feeling... how do I know it is not my ego leading?

“ We know from every single piece of psychological research that the key to creating a confident and independent child is to allow them the dependence that they need on us, when they need it. For some babies and toddlers this means the need for physical contact when they are at their most vulnerable – in the state of sleep. You can’t *make* your child sleep on you if they don’t want to and they won’t do it forever. They WILL outgrow the need and when they do they will be all the more confident for it. As for the myth of naps only being ‘good quality’ if they are in a cot or crib, I have no idea where this one came from. It is so wrong and obscure it’s almost laughable, only the fact millions of parents have been scared by it is no laughing matter. Sleep is sleep, it really doesn’t matter where it happens.”
