Today’s feedback comes from an individual who has recently attended our Understand Yourself Better course.

"It has helped make me understand and learn how to cope with my current situation. I feel I have come a long way in a short time. The support and help from staff has been first class."

The aim is to help participants to become more self-confident, to have a better sense of their self-worth, and to encourage them to engage in activities that promote a sense of value, meaningfulness and purpose. Follow the link below to see more about this support service. 👇

April is Stress Awareness Month, over the month were bringing you weekly tips and advice regarding stress and managing stress. Last week we looked at the signs of stress, today well be looking at different ways to reduce stress.

You might feel stressed because of one big event or situation in your life. Or it might be a build-up of lots of smaller things. Some situations that don't bother you at all might cause someone else a lot of stress. This is because we're all influenced by different experiences. We also have different levels of support and ways of coping. Some of the ways you can try and reduce your stress are 👇

• Take a 5-minute breathing break
• Step outside for fresh air 🌤️
• Exercise
• Write down what’s on your mind
• Relaxation techniques like yoga or meditation
• Limit screen time before bed

Small habits can have a powerful impact over time. You don’t need a complete reset, just a few mindful moments each day.

Today is World Health Day, and it is a reminder that health is more than just the absence of illness, it’s about caring for your body and your mind. 💙

Take a moment to check in with yourself:
• Have you moved your body today?
• Drank enough water? 💧
• Taken a break to breathe and reset?
• Reached out to someone you trust?

Small daily habits can make a big difference over time. Your health matters every day, not just today. Let’s support ourselves and each other in building healthier, happier lives.

April is Autism Awareness Month 💙

A time to listen, learn, and celebrate neurodiversity. Autism isn’t something to “fix”, it’s a different way of experiencing and interacting with the world. Every autistic person is unique, with their own strengths, challenges, and perspectives.

This month, let’s move beyond awareness and toward acceptance:

✨ Be kind and patient
✨ Challenge stereotypes
✨ Create inclusive spaces
✨ Amplify autistic voices

Lets all do our part to make the world a kinder and more accepting place where we celebrate the difference that make us all unique 💙

Todays feedback comes from an individual who has recently attended our anger management course.

"This has been a brilliant course and helped support my anger management. At a difficult time in my life, both Lee and Michelle have been wonderful. Thanks, and always so very supportive to me on all courses. It was very well run and great discussion. Michelle is a gift to Kettering Mind and a rock to me always."

In this course, we’ll look to gain a better understanding of anger, its implications consequences and how it affects us, and what individuals can do to reduce the impact it has on their life and improve their wellbeing. Follow the link below for further information and to see our referral form for this course. 👇

Today is World Bipolar Day. This day is observed on the birthday of Vincent van Gogh, who was posthumously diagnosed as having bipolar disorder. Reminding us that creativity, strength, and resilience can shine even through challenges.

Bipolar disorder is a mental health condition characterised by shifts in mood, energy, and activity levels. But it does not define a person’s potential or worth.

Let’s use today to:

💬 Encourage open conversations about mental health

📚 Educate ourselves and others

🤝 Show empathy and support

🚫 Break the stigma

If you or someone you know is struggling, remember that support is available, and you are not alone. Together, we can build understanding, compassion, and hope. 💙 Follow the link below to learn more. 👇
