Maintenance massage for Major 😍

He always benefits from his treatments and gave some good release throughout.

Major is also prepping for London and is looking amazing 🤩

The weather is changing, slips and trips are more likely in the wet fields, darker nights can mean less time to ride, which can mean your horses are spending longer periods in the stable.

Maintaining your horse’s musculoskeletal system during the winter is important…..

Top tips to help through those long winter months:

🙌 full groom your horse- bonding time with your horse on the ground, a good chance to check for lumps bumps or anything irregular.
🙌 stretches- after a full groom or exercise some leg stretches, hip and wither rocking, carrot stretches are good for keeping muscles supple.
🙌 spreading haynets around the stable- keep horses moving and not standing static, which helps the movement of lymphatic fluid to reduce swelling in the legs.
🙌enrichment- keeping your horses minds stimulated by making carrot or fruit kebabs to hang from the stable, treat ball or hay ball, mirrors etc.
🙌lunge, long rein or free school if you don’t have time to ride.

Sol is an older riding school pony who had his first treatment with me.

He really benefited from his treatment as we worked through some points of tension that he was holding.
He gave some good releases throughout.
