Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to elderly clients in a home care setting. You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by supporting their daily activities and ensuring their wellbeing. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and a genuine passion for senior care.
Responsibilities
* Deliver personalised care to clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
* Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
* Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Maintain accurate records of clients' progress and any changes in their condition.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other team members to ensure cohesive care delivery.
* Drive engagement in social activities to promote mental and emotional wellbeing.
* Uphold health and safety standards.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is highly desirable.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Familiarity with developing care plans tailored to individual needs.
* A background in IT is advantageous for managing client records and documentation.
* A compassionate approach towards elderly individuals, demonstrating patience and empathy.
* Relevant qualifications in health or social care are preferred but not essential.
