Lincroft Meadow Care Home, Kidlington

Last week, the fabulous Lincroft Meadow minibus team organised lots more outings for residents to visit Blenheim Palace to see The Wonderful Wizard of Oz themed decorations in the State rooms.

In fact, they made so many visits that our minibus driver was asked if he worked at the palace on Friday! We still have residents who would like to go, so we are looking forward to even more trips to Blenheim Palace throughout December. 🎄❄️🎄❄️

Everyone here at Lincroft Meadow would like to congratulate our wonderful team member, Daniel on completing his T-Levels in Health.

Daniel completed his industry placement here at Lincroft and decided to join us permanently once he qualified.

Daniel not only passed, but he passed with flying colours and his grades are equivalent to three Grade B, A Levels.

Congratulations Daniel! We are all extremely proud of you and delighted that you have chosen to continue your career here at Lincroft. 👏👏👏

This morning, the fabulous Lincroft Meadow minibus team took two of our lovely residents to Blenheim Palace to see The Wonderful Wizard of Oz themed decorations in the State rooms.

They stepped through the twinkling hot air balloon entrance into Kansas and then discovered the magical Land of the Munchkins. They spotted the Scarecrow, Tin Woodman, Cowardly Lion and of course Toto along the way before venturing through the Wicked Witch’s domain of the Dark Forest before following the road of yellow brick to the glittering Emerald City where they met Dorothy.

It was a magical morning and we are looking forward to many more trips to Blenheim Palace throughout December. 🎄❄️🎄❄️

Here at Lincroft Meadow Care, our wonderful team member, Jesal, is all set to host our International Men's Day celebration this afternoon.

He has prepared a wonderful selection of drinks and snacks, and has a great choice of films on offer too.

We hope our wonderful gentleman enjoy their special afternoon and wish all our male residents, team members, relatives, and friends of our home a very Happy International Men's Day. ☺️

Here at Lincroft Meadow, our regular toddler group, Little Ones at Lincroft, is one of our favourite activities.

We usually start the session with free play, then we enjoy Rhymetime, which is followed by drinks and delicious snacks. We end the morning with parachute and ball games, which are always great fun.

In recent months, many of our regulars have moved on to pre-school so we are actively seeking new members. It's free to attend and always a joy to be part of, so if you're free on the second Friday of the month at 10.30am, please do come and join us!

Pudsey did a great job of getting the party started here at Lincroft Meadow yesterday and everyone had great fun dancing with him.

Afterwards, he very kindly spent time visiting residents and staff around the home too. As you can see from the photos, he even offered to help the nurse out with a medication round. Thank you Pudsey and see you next year! 🥰
