This is what the Growing Together group did this week.
Myself, Ceri and Simon D did some cooking in the kitchen with Bridget and Keiron. This time we made home made corned beef pie and home made vegetable cottage pie with mashed potatoes, peas and cabbage.
For pudding we made Maids of Honour.
Myself and Ceri helped to make the corned beef pie, whilst Simon D and Bridget worked on the cottage pie and cakes.
Whilst myself, Ceri and Simon D were busy cooking this weeks lunch, Dai, Wayne, Brendan, Simon H, Morgan, Christian, Gareth and Gary went outside with Chris to do lots of hard work.
Some of the hard work that they did outside with Chris were planting daffodils, cutting grass and doing the dead hedge.
During the morning Lynda and Shaun from Mencap helped each member of the group to fill in surveys regarding how the CLASH project has changed the way that we grow food and help the environment.
Once everyone outside completed their jobs for the morning they all went back to the workshop to have food.
After lunch. Dai, Wayne, Brendan, Simon H, Christian, Morgan and Gary did some woodwork in the workshop where they made from Christmas Trees to sell on our stall at the Christmas fair.
Simon D helped Bridget in the kitchen to wash, clean and dry up.
Meanwhile, myself, Ceri. Aaron and Simon H went across the road to Parc Y Bocs with Chris to do a sales pitch for our apple and pear juices. As well as doing a sales pitch to the manager of Parc Y Bocs Farm Shop, we also did a sales pitch to the owners of Y Barbican.
Both of these sales pitches to both places went very well, as Scott the manager of Parc Y Bocs has agreed to buy off us to sell in the shop. Being involved in these sales pitches was brilliant.
Thank you Rory for the blog and we are also looking forward to having a stall at Coleshill Christmas market this Tuesday the 18th of November, so please come along if you are in the area.
