🧬✨ New side project alert! ✨🧬

So, a few weeks ago a good friend was telling me all about how he was tracing his family tree and uncovering all sorts of fascinating things about his ancestors. Naturally, it got me thinking… 🤔

Fast forward to last week — and there I was, dutifully spitting into a tiny test tube (as you do 😅) and popping my DNA sample in the post to one of those well-known genealogy companies. The results aren’t back yet, but I’ve already started building my family tree using their app — and let’s just say, it’s a rabbit hole I’ve enthusiastically tumbled into! 🌳📱

I’m hoping to finally get some answers about who we are and where we come from because, at the moment, family knowledge is a little… sketchy, shall we say. So, if you see me over the next few weeks sitting in a corner frantically tapping away on my phone, don’t worry — I haven’t lost the plot completely. I’m just on a mission to discover my roots! 😄

What a fantastic weekend it was at Crathes Castle! A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by my stall - it was such a joy to meet you all and chat about all things natural skincare. 💚

My Body Butters were the stars of the show - this luxurious triple-butter recipe was literally flying off the shelves! I sold out of so many fragrances, and I’m so happy to see you love them as much as I do. 🧴✨

Also proving super popular were my Aromatherapy Shower Steamers, especially the gorgeous Shower Steamer Gift Sets - perfect for a little pamper treat or a thoughtful gift. These sets will be added to the website tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled! 🚿💫

Look what you can find at the wonderful Sunshine No.1 in Glasgow! These were flying off the shelves at my market this weekend. And would make a great Christmas gift for someone special or a lovely treat for yourself. xXx

We seem to be all about wonderful smells recently!

This week we took delivery of these solid fragrances and honestly, they smell amazing 😍!

They are an alcohol free alternative to traditional perfumes or aftershaves.

These concentrated little tins of highly fragranced balm have been made with high quality fine fragrance oils that have been sourced right here in Scotland and are paraben and phthalates free.

You simply slide open the tin and gently rub the balm with your fingers to activate the scent. Apply to pulse points for a long lasting fragrance and top up as needed!

🌙 The Great Midnight Flood – A Christmas Market Tale! 🚿🎄

I checked in last night, all cosy and snug,
My Aberdeenshire base, with my tea in a mug.
The market at Crathes was calling next day,
So I nodded off early — all peaceful, hooray!

But just after midnight, I woke with a fright,
A shower was running — though none was in sight!
The bathroom was silent, no tap to be found,
Yet something was humming, a strange buzzing sound.

“Ah well,” I thought sleepily, “it’s fine, it’ll stop.”
(Reader — it didn’t. It ramped up a notch! 🙈)
Two hours went by, I admitted defeat,
Put slippers back on my now sleepless feet.

Out in the hallway the mystery grew —
The noise was much louder, and water ran too!
A glistening wall, a watery streak,
A mini indoor waterfall — quite unique! 💦

Down to reception, I trundled once more,
Explaining, “I think there’s a leak on my floor.”
An emergency plumber was called in a flash,
While I packed up my bags in a sleep-deprived dash.

At 2am sharp I began my moonlight flight,
Dragging my soap boxes into the night. 🧼
A yearly tradition, it seems I can’t dodge —
Hotels and I have a very damp lodge! 😂

But fingers crossed now, that’s my drama complete,
No more plumbing surprises for this festive retreat!
Crathes Castle awaits, with sparkle and cheer,
And plenty of bubbles (the soap kind) this year! ✨ xXx

✨ The gazebo is up and the build has begun! ✨ The beautiful tented village is taking shape here at the stunning Crathes Castle for the Exclusively Highlands Christmas Market, and it’s already looking magical. 🎄

It’s a glorious autumn day in Aberdeenshire, with golden leaves all around — the perfect setting to kick off the festive season. 🍂

The market runs Friday to Sunday, 10am–3pm, with a fabulous range of luxury handcrafted goods from talented Scottish makers (including all your Surya Luna Naturals favourites, of course! 💛).

It’s the perfect spot to start your Christmas shopping or treat yourself to something extra special. I hope to see you here! xXx

🚨 The PayPal Saga – Hopefully the Final Chapter! 🚨

So, after much head-scratching, email chains, and a small amount of muttering under my breath, I finally received word from the mysterious PayPal tech department! 🕵️‍♀️💻

Apparently, the issue was all down to unconfirmed addresses for those trying to order through PayPal (who knew?!). They’ve now tinkered with some settings behind the scenes, and - fingers crossed 🤞- normal service has now been resumed!

If you do still get a message saying that I “don’t deliver to your address” (which I promise I probably do! 😅), please drop me an email or message me here on social media so I can get it sorted right away.
