We are aware that there are issues with our phone lines currently and apologise for the inconvenience it is causing patients trying to get through to the surgery. We are working with the phone company in the background to try to resolve the problem.
The issues seem to be intermittent so please keep trying if you can’t get through initially.

❄️ WINTER PRESSURES ❄️

We are in the middle of the busiest time of year. Please help us to make sure appointments are available for the patients who need them most.

🗓️ APPOINTMENTS
Please respect the appointment system. Emergency appointments are needed for patients who are acutely unwell, not for minor ailments or problems that have been going on for some time. Please do not mislead our reception team by stating your problem is an emergency if it is not.

⏰ LATENESS
Please be on time for your appointment. If you arrive late you will be asked to reschedule your appointment as this has a huge impact on the smooth running of the clinic and is not fair on the patients booked for the rest of the clinic.

🚧 CANCELLATIONS
If you cannot attend your appointment please call the reception team to cancel as this appointment can be utilised for someone else.

🛜 OTHER OPTIONS
Please consider other sources of advice such as the nhs website, and our local pharmacists who are skilled in dealing with minor ailments, sore throats and urinary infections.

📌 FLU VACCINES FOR PATIENTS UNDER 65📌

We still have a supply of flu vaccines available for patients under the age of 65.

If you wish to avail of one of these vaccines please contact the surgery or mention it to the nurse or GP when attending an appointment.

⭐️ IMPORTANT INFO ⭐️

Due to unexpected circumstances, the reception team are short staffed tomorrow, Thursday 20th November.

If you were planning on contacting the surgery tomorrow for a non-urgent query or request, please consider delaying your call until Friday.

This will relieve pressure on the phone lines to allow us to answer calls that are of a more urgent nature.

🌟 AFTERNOON CLOSURE 🌟

Mourne Family Surgery will be closed this afternoon (Tuesday 4th November) for staff training.

The GP OOH service will be available for urgent problems that cannot wait until the surgery reopens in the morning.
