Does *perfection* even exist? 🤔
Sure — we all have *perfect moments*...
a great meal 🍝
a killer outfit 👗
a day that just feels right ☀️

But most of life? It’s imperfect — and that’s kinda beautiful. 💫

Even the people we think *look perfect* — Olympians, models, influencers — have insecurities.
If *they* can’t be perfect… what chance do any of us have? 😅

Chasing perfection can push us to improve 💪
but it can also pull us into self-criticism and comparison 😔

So instead — aim to feel **confident, healthy, and proud**.
That’s real. That’s sustainable. That’s enough. ❤️

Confused about losing fat?

I know I was initially...

As a kid I was told everything from chocolate to bread could be the issue

As a teenager I thought I just needed chicken & rice + oats to get the abs

As an adult I went to uni to study sports science...

And even then you still had the odd piece of nonsense derail you

The caveman/keto diet had some early research to back it for example

But now as a "wiser?" fat loss & toning coach 😂

I understand you just need to obey the principle:

Eat less calories than you burn each day and you'll lose fat

Their is however a core Fellowship Of Effective Fat Loss that supports this happening...

A calorie deficit (as above)

Getting good sleep to make good decisions

Lifting because it builds muscle & gives you a bigger metabolism

Taking diet breaks so you mentally have some time to eat what you want

Support from others (try fat loss with a partner who's smashing sharebags at night..)

Flexi Nutrition aka you can eat whatever you want as long as it meets your calories - don't abuse it and just main line sugar though.

Music because music helps everything but especially exercise motivation

Protein because higher levels fill you up

Going walks often as higher step counts mean a bigger metabolism which means more food

Smash the like if seeing this fellowship was helpful

Or maybe your just a LOTR nerd like me

We always do some form of resistance training with clients

Aka lifting weights or bodyweight work.

➡️Why?

Builds muscles/strength
Reduces injury risks in future
Improves posture

Alot of people 35+

Are weak
Have poor posture
Have little muscle
Have little joint resilence

➡️What this means is...

They struggle to lift and move general things around the house

They get aches and pains alot at knees, low back, neck and shoulders

They sprain or pull something every year if they try anything athletic or physically tough - "saying I'm too old for this"

(Chiropractors and physios are loving this generation 🤣)

They don't look as sexy as they did in 20s (I mean body wise haha)

Muscle gives you shape

Ps I don't mean arnold biceps or a 6 pack

I just mean some muscle providing shape

Pps hope this doesn't come across as body shaming.

Your body you do you 😆

➡️How to avoid it?

Some form of resistance training 2x per week should improve all this and maintain results

Prestwick group personal training out to celebrate coach Heather being 21 again 😉

Sad I didn't make it!

Was out in a tent camping with family 😅

They train hard and I heard they can tan pints even harder 👀

Excited for new training block for group sessions kicking off this week

We have

Banksrox - Our spin on hyrox
WOD - Workout of the day (intense and lots of reps)
Boxcore - boxing and core/ab work combined

After 6 months outside it's time to build conditioning and muscular endurance before a bit of strength work in the next training block.
