A few photos from last weeks Hyrox sim FIT BODY FARMof me in action - head over to their page to see almost 600 more and despite not great weather you will see loads of smiles because the sims are cracking events.

Next one is 22 February if you’d like to give it a go - and don’t feel pressured to do the whole thing. It can be adapted to your ability, a half, alternatives to running if it’s not your bag - loads of options.

It genuinely is a really well put together event with a cheer squad for absolutely everyone!

What should I wear to my appointment?

A: Whatever you’re comfy in!

Here’s a quick breakdown depending on what we’re working on:

👕 Upper body issue?
Wear something comfy on the bottom half—you’ll just remove your top and shoes. You’ll be covered with towels, and I’ll only uncover the area I’m working on.

🦵 Lower body issue?
We’ll work one leg at a time. You’ll stay covered except for the leg being treated. And unless we’re doing acupuncture on the glutes (which I’ll always explain first), there’s no need to expose them.

😌 Full body relaxation?
Think Bridget Jones/comfy underwear—whatever you’re happy in! You’ll be covered with towels throughout, and I’ll only uncover the area I’m working on at that moment.

No need to dress up, no need to stress. I’ll guide you through everything so you feel safe, respected, and relaxed.

First time? Let’s make it easy. Book in and I’ll walk you through it all.

As some of you know I work with Pain Concern who are a Scottish charity that work to improve the lives of people living with pain and those that support them.

As part of my role I deliver Pain Education Information Sessions online throughout the UK alongside the NHS to groups that are going through Pain Management Programmes. Today was NHS Lothian to a lovely bunch of people.

“Why don’t some people rebook?”

Great question—and the answer is: there are lots of perfectly good reasons!

🌍 Some of my clients are from abroad (hello, lovely Americans!) and just haven’t been back on holiday here yet.
🧘‍♀️ Some came for a specific issue, and nothing else has popped up since—which is a win!
🏃‍♂️ Some I meet at events worldwide so they were never going to be clients other than at events I’m working at
👥 And sometimes… I’m just not their therapist. And that’s absolutely okay.

I’ve said it before: the therapist-client relationship matters. The best results come when you click with the person you’re working with. You feel more relaxed, more open, and your body responds better. If I’m not that person for someone, I’m never offended—I want them to find the right fit.

And sometimes, I’ve referred people back to their GP or another healthcare professional. I’m confident in what I do, but I’m also confident enough to know when I’m not the right person for you to be spending your time or money with.

So if you’ve been thinking about booking but feel unsure—know that there’s no pressure, no judgment, and no hard sell. Just honest, supportive care when you need it.

And let's not take away that an 89% retention rate is pretty good in the first place....
