🐴💖 Pony Love!

Our residents were all smiles today thanks to a special visit from our much loved therapy pony, Daisy. She brings so much joy, comfort, and laughter to everyone who loves sees her.
Daisy even enjoyed a treat from the chef, she really enjoyed her carrots.

It’s always heartwarming to see how much happiness these visits bring — a little bit of love with a whole lot of magic! ✨

Our residents had a wonderful time making beautiful paper flowers using cake cases today! 🎨✨

With a little glue, colour, imagination, and plenty of laughter, we turned simple cupcake cases into bright blooms that are now bringing a touch of spring to our home — no matter the season. 💐

It’s amazing what can be created with everyday materials and good company! 💕

The guns fell silent, one by one,
A hush rolled out beneath the sun.
The smoke still hung, the sky still gray,
But peace had found her voice that day.

The earth was scarred, the fields were torn,
Where dreams and youth had once been born.
Yet in the mud, a whisper grew—
“The war is done. The world is new.”

No trumpets sang of victory’s pride,
Just weary souls, with tears they’d hide.
A handshake here, a broken prayer,
A vow to heal what died out there.

Poppies bloom where men once bled,
Their crimson petals crown the dead.
And though the years drift soft and slow,
The silence speaks of what we owe.

Each poppy has been lovingly made to honour those who gave their lives in service. Every stitch represents remembrance, gratitude, and hope

An Afternoon of Wild Halloween Fun with ZooLab!

We had a fantastic afternoon of fun and discovery when ZooLab visited us, bringing along some fascinating creatures to meet our residents and the local 12th Squirrels group.
Everyone enjoyed the chance to get up close and learn about the different animals — from the smallest insects to some rather exotic reptiles!

There were plenty of smiles (and a few squeals of excitement) as we listened to interesting facts, touched some of the animals, and learned more about their habitats and habits. It was a wonderful opportunity for residents and young visitors alike to share a hands-on learning experience.

A big thank you to ZooLab for an unforgettable afternoon, and to everyone who joined in the fun

"Don had a craving for a nice dining experience, so we decided to treat ourselves by heading to the Marriotts. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect backdrop for our lunch. We indulged in a sumptuous meal filled with laughter and great conversation, creating beautiful memories together. It's always a joy to share good food and even better company!"
