For those of you wondering whether 'diet' drinks are as harmful for the body as sugared ones, this is an interesting round up of some recent research. As do most preliminary studies, it asnwers some questions and opens up others, still to be studied.

Both sugar-sweetened and diet drinks raise the risk for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, with artificial sweeteners linked to an even greater risk.
