1. Email the Minister for Transport – now
Ahead of Caroline Voaden’s meeting today (Weds 11 Feb).

Please urge him to:

- Come and visit Torcross and drive the B road himself
- Recognise how vital this area is to the South West tourism economy
- Remember this is a national treasure, not just a local issue

I know I’ve been quieter on my socials this past week – that’s because I’ve been putting everything into getting much bigger platforms to share this and push the case forward.

If you haven't already had a listen, head to BBC Iplayer, Radio Devon - listen to today's programme and start at about 2 hours 10mins along, listen to Julian Brazil, and then John Acres (host) kindly gave me 10 mins of airtime (starting at 2hours 17) to explain the impact of losing the A379 road here along Slapton line, and what we need our local MP to do to secure emergency funding to fix it, and put into position better sea defences for Torcross village (as is articulated in the Shoreline Mgt Plan). https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m002qhfz

Despite no road along Slapton line, classes are still running at Start Bay Studio as normal. Perhaps we need them more than ever!

Anti-discombobulation.
What a great word.
I was describing today to @ how I felt shaken and unsettled with all the recent storms, flooding in our area, and damage to beautiful Torcross sea front (as well as Hallsands and Beesands), and she said this word ‘anti-discombobulation’ - which sums it up entirely. Today’s class, and classes this week will be familiar, settling, grounding and lovely!

Forgot to post this last week! We had fun getting into some juicy back bends last week! As always the new class each week is streamed live on Thursdays at 7.45am and recorded for future play back on the video library.

Today in classes we went through 3 simple tests for
- ankle mobility (dorsiflexion)
- knee mobility (flection)
- hip mobility (flection, abduction and external rotation)

Everyone found out A LOT about their bodies.
We then worked on building mobility in these joints through
- stretching the calf muscles
- stretching the quadricep muscles
- stretching MANY hip muscles!

Everyone left armed with new information about their bodies, and some easy movements to improve the areas that needed a little work. Plus, we had a lot of fun!

Classes are very full so book early to avoid disappointment! Your calf muscles will thank you, as will your future self.
