Cladding remediation is one of the most complex and high-risk challenges still facing residential buildings today, and it’s an area where experience, persistence, and the right technical partners really matter.
At Pure Block Management, we're currently managing four developments that are progressing through the Cladding Safety Scheme, securing government funding to reduce fire risk associated with combustible materials and missing cavity barriers.
Each project requires a different approach:
🏗️ Our work at Kemley House is well underway and already past the halfway point. Alongside cladding remediation, we also successfully secured funding for replacement windows on affected elevations due to their integration with the cladding system.
🏗️ Another project, Spring Street, started in February and involves full building remediation and exterior material changes. This scheme has required close collaboration with the local authority due to planning constraints and area-specific design requirements.
🏗️ In the next six months, work on Trinity Wharf is due to start. While only a small amount of visible timber cladding needs replacing, the primary risk is the absence of cavity barriers. Ordinarily, this would mean removing large sections of the brick façade. Instead, by working with our specialist contacts, we've developed a "sock system" solution. This significantly reduces scaffolding, noise, disruption, programme length, and planning hurdles, allowing works to start sooner for residents' benefit.
🏗️ Finally, a high-rise project, Queens Court, is due to start later this year, which has taken longer to progress due to the Building Safety Regulator requirements and the scale and complexity of the works involved.
These projects demand more than just coordination — they require technical understanding, funding expertise, regulator engagement, and resident-focused decision making. It’s a responsibility we take seriously, and one we’re proud to be delivering on.
If you’re navigating cladding remediation, building safety compliance, or funding routes, this is where the right managing agent makes a real difference.
