EFT is a powerful tool to use with fears and phobias by tapping on the meridian points. It works by clearing blocked energies and emotions, often clients will say they can’t believe the fear or thought was ever there in the first place.

Imagine years of having a fear, and it preventing you from doing things, but having some EFT sessions helps you finally get rid of them.

It can be used anywhere once you learn the basics of how to use it.

🌱3 years ago I wrote this post.

🌱 I see those little changes in my garden now! Signs that life is moving on, in nature, in our life’s. All moving slowly, gently and at its own pace, just like we do.

This afternoon I was pottering around the garden and I began thinking how much this time of year can feel a bit bleak for all sorts of reasons. People will have their own thoughts and feelings about January and what it means to them, good or bad!

I then noticed some tiny little shoots on my plants, the sign that spring and summer is on its way. 🌱🪴

Growth comes in alsorts of shapes and sizes, it does not matter what it is, or how long it takes to get there.

It can feel amazing when you realise how you finally understand yourself a bit more, and how to deal with certain situations that once you may have struggled with.

The Therapy journey can feel overwhelming, exhausting, emotional but actually also fulfilling.

What’s important is YOU and the small steps to nurturing and autonomy in a safe confidential setting!

✨I just thought I would come on introduce myself and to thank my new followers for liking and following my page.
Hello and thank you to my existing followers.

🤷‍♀️I tried to find a sensible photo to introduce myself but found that hard 😂, so this one is the best I could do.

✨Here’s a little bit about me, I’m Caroline.
I’m not just a therapist and EFT Practitioner but I am a mum to two beautiful daughters, I have a lovely supportive husband and a rather annoying but lovely rescue dog. (He had been through a traumatic time before we rescued him, and we helped him trust and love which he never knew existed before)
We also have a gorgeous little hamster with bags of personality (who knew hamsters were comical!).

I trained and qualified as a counsellor.
I then trained and qualified in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).
I love that these two can be used separately or combined in sessions, whatever serves you the best to get what you need.

Also for the last 17.5 years I have worked in a role supporting people who have being affected by traumas of all kinds.

I love talking to people.
I love supporting people around things that they struggle with and help them refocus and re frame their thought and feelings.
I love helping people navigate their way through difficult times and see them become stronger, clearer thinking and find their autonomy.
I love seeing my clients love themselves when they thought they never could.
I love helping my clients feel seen, valued and heard.

LETS TALK ABOUT STRESS.
Where is your stress hiding today?

We often talk about stress as a feeling, but for many of us, it’s a physical weight.

Maybe it’s that nagging tension in your jaw, the heavy feeling in your heart, or the butterflies in your stomach that just won’t go away. It could be backache, headache and the list goes on.

Your body is essentially a storage unit for the emotions you haven't had the chance to process yet.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) otherwise known as Tapping is like a pressure relief valve for your nervous system.

By tapping on specific meridian points while acknowledging exactly how you feel, you’re sending a signal to your brain that it’s safe to let
go.

Why it works for body-bound stress:
• Interrupts the Fight or Flight response:
It shifts you from survival mode back into a state of calm.
• Acknowledges the Sensation:
Instead of ignoring the pain, you speak to it.
• Clears the Blockage:
It helps unblock the energy where it’s being held physically.

A Quick Check-In
Close your eyes for a second.
Scan from your head to your toes.

• Where do you feel the most tightness?
What color or shape would that stress be if it were an object?

Acknowledging it is the first step toward releasing it. You don’t have to carry the weight of the world anymore.

As we all start to get back into the ‘swing’ of our ‘normal’ have you had time to reflect over the Christmas holidays.

Your mental health is as important as going to the Hairdresser, Football match, getting your nails done, watching Rugby etc.

❤️The New Year of 2026 is just around the corner.
Just as Christmas did, this means different things to everyone. It can be painful for people experiencing loss and grief of all kinds. And time for personal reflection.

❤️Social media will start exploding with how well people have done, how well businesses have done and the great times they have had and how they look forward to 2026, which is so lovely to hear and be thankful for.
Please don’t put pressure on yourselves if your year is not like others! Don’t feel like you’ve failed, you haven’t and you’ve survived. It’s just another year. Do it your way.

❤️Let’s open the book of opportunity and look after the things you need to, such as mental health, friendships, relationships and jobs or anything else that’s important to you. Give yourself permission to let go of the things that don’t serve you well.

❤️Let’s also spare a thought for those that need a little help, a little guidance and support on the new path of 2026.

🌻Tapping Into Calm: Using EFT to Manage Anxiety

Anxiety can feel like an overwhelming wave, crashing over us at the most unexpected moments. Whether it’s the pressure of daily life, uncertainties about the future, or specific triggers, many of us have felt its grip. However, there's a powerful tool at our disposal that can help us manage anxiety: Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), commonly known as tapping.

What is EFT?

EFT is a simple yet effective technique that combines elements of cognitive therapy and acupressure. By tapping on specific meridian points on the body while focusing on the anxiety you're experiencing, you can help release the emotional charge associated with it.

There are certain steps to take when using EFT for Anxiety

Identify Your Anxiety.
Take a moment to pinpoint what’s causing your anxiety. Is it a specific event, fear of the unknown, or something else? Acknowledging the source is key.

Rate Your Anxiety on a scale of 0 to 10, where do you feel your anxiety is right now? This will help you measure your progress after tapping.

Create a Set Up statement that acknowledges your anxiety and affirms self-acceptance. For example: ‘Even though I feel anxious about [specific issue], I accept this is how I feel’

Start Tapping - Use your fingertips to tap on the following meridian points while repeating your setup statement:

Repeat - Continue tapping through the points while expressing your feelings about the anxiety. You can also use reminder phrases like: ‘This anxiety about [specific issue].

Reassess Your Anxiety. After a round of tapping, rate your anxiety again. Notice if there’s been a shift.

Repeat as Needed. If your anxiety level hasn’t decreased significantly, go through the process again, adjusting your setup statement as necessary.

Top Tips:

Practice Regularly. Make EFT a part of your daily routine. The more you use it, the more effective it can become.

Stay Present - Focus on your feelings in the moment. Tapping can help ground you and bring awareness to your body.

Combine with Other Techniques.
Consider pairing EFT with counselling, mindfulness, deep breathing, or journaling for a more holistic approach to managing anxiety.

Remember, it’s okay to seek support. If your anxiety feels unmanageable, consider reaching out.

By integrating EFT into your life, you can take proactive steps toward managing anxiety and reclaiming your peace of mind. Let’s tap our way to calm!

It is better to work with a practitioner in the beginning to ensure safety and tapping on the correct points. Once confident you can use it daily at home, at work or wherever you need it.

🌻Let’s talk EFT!

What is it?

😶‍🌫️EFT follows a core set of steps that combine a focused mental process with physical stimulation.

💡How do you do it?

1. Identify the problem first and focus on one specific problem, emotion, or physical feeling

For example

All this anxiety I feel about my hospital appointment.

Or

All this stress I feel about my house move.

Where do you feel it?

😥All this pain in my lower back

Or

🥲All this pain in my tummy

Then we need to think about how intense the feeling is, rating it on a scale of 0 (no distress) to 10 (worst possible distress), or somewhere in-between.
This gives you a starting point to measure your progress.

Working with a practioner you can start to use EFT and work through these issues, and clear them all one by one.

⚠️You don't have to believe in it for it to work.
EFT's effect on the body's energy system can occur regardless of your faith in the method. This method has a powerful result and quickly regulates your nervous system.

❓These events happened and your life was never quite the same, you started to believe things about yourself to be true, with no evidence to back this up. (YOUR EXPERIENCE).

😢You struggled!
You started feeling emotions that you can’t explain.
Your behaviour changed. (THE EFFECTS).

‘It’s ok to not be ok’

♥️Don’t struggle alone.

💙A nice hair cut or facial makes you feel good but the journey to self discovery and fulfilment is one worth taking, investing in your mental health is so important.

💭Let’s think about ANGER! 😡

🤔 Does it take over your day/week etc?
🤔 Can you acknowledge where you feel it?
🤔 How do you deal with it?
🤔 What triggers it?
🤔 What’s your release/outlet?

Here’s some ideas below to help you manage the feeling of ANGER! 😡

🌻Try to do some journaling and reflect on what’s bothered you.

🧡 Do a workout, dance or yoga, there are free ones on YouTube so no need to cost money to go to the gym or classes.

🚶‍♂️Go for a run or walk

🫣 Intensive cleaning (or maybe not). 😀 But some people like this and it helps shift the feeling.

🗣️Talk to yourself with compassion and empathy as you would talk to a friend who is struggling.

🤛Clench and release your fists 10 times whilst breathing slowly.

👐Give yourself the Butterfly hug

😱Scream into a pillow. (Make sure you feel safe to do this).

🎶Play some music loud, and even dance around.

📝 Write a letter(this helps you vent in a safe way).

😂 Watch a funny video or film. 🍿
