Last month we delivered Heartstart and AED training to secondary school pupils at Havelock Hive Academy. The Academy, based in Grimsby, were the first school to receive training since the announcement of government funding for all schools to purchase an AED.

UK schools are now required to teach first aid as part of the curriculum, with secondary school pupils being taught life-saving methods such as CPR and the purpose of defibrillators. This will help protect schools and their local communities against cardiac arrest.

📣 Customer Message

Good Morning,

With regards to the current COVID 19 situation and as result of the amended Government guidance, I have this morning regretfully taken the decision that once again I can no longer guarantee the health, safety and welfare of delegates attending training delivery with regard to the risk of cross contamination and as such have suspended delivery of all HFR Solutions training with immediate effect.

I am conscious that this is likely to have an impact upon a number of our customers and certainly from a Solutions perspective the financial effect will be significant however I cannot morally or ethically sanction the continuation of training delivery because irrespective of control measures which may be implemented it is now clear that the risk cannot be mitigated to a satisfactory level, particularly with regard to the new strain and its increased transmissibility – these are unprecedented times and we all need to play our part in putting people first.

When the situation has resolved and the risk of cross contamination has been mitigated to an acceptable level we will resume training course delivery and will ensure sufficient courses are programmed to cover those not delivered during the lockdown period.

With the exception of training delivery, Solutions will continue to operate normally and should any customers require assistance particularly with regard to Business Continuity Planning or matters related specifically to COVID 19 please do not hesitate to make contact and we will arrange for Paul Cresswell to attend at site and provide the necessary advice, guidance and documentation.

We wish the very best to all our customers during this period and will look forward to furthering our relationships once the COVID 19 risk has been mitigated to an acceptable level.

Our Training Centre will be closing on the 23rd December at 4pm, and we will be reopening in the New Year on the 4th January.
