Hello, my name is Leanne and I worked in the hospital and public mortuaries for many years. In 2009 I was given the additional responsibility of meeting with bereaved families. It immediately became clear that there were many families struggling to pay for their loved one's funeral. I left a job that I loved and setup Simple Cremations with my husband. Over the past few years we have helped hundreds of families give their loved one the perfect send off. We offer a simple cremation which is a funeral with a service and a direct cremation which is unattended. Our simple cremation (affordable funeral with a service) is very much like a traditional funeral service but without many of the expensive extras, things like a hearse, limousines and pallbearers. I also offer my own services as celebrant for free to help families keep the costs down. Direct cremation (funeral without a service) is increasingly popular, we offer this from just £1,031. We return the ashes at no extra charge. Many of the families we perform funerals for don’t have the means to pay thousands for a funeral. But it would be a mistake to think that it’s only people who are struggling to pay for a funeral that use our services, it isn’t! Our customers are incredibly diverse. There are lots of families who just don’t see the sense in spending thousands of pounds on a traditional funeral and we understand that. The final thing a family can do for the one they’ve lost is to carry out their last wishes. Maybe they wanted a no fuss funeral or a simple intimate family funeral and it’s a real honour for us to be chosen to help make that happen. We now cover Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
