My interest in the use of massage started as a sideline to another interest of mine which is fencing. I started out helping a few friends with stiff muscles and general aches and pains. When they started to recommend me to their friends I decided to obtain some Qualifications. After taking early retirement in 2000 I started to study Aromatherapy and the more I looked into it the more interesting I found it. I passed the IIHHT diploma in 2002 and since then have obtained diplomas in Reflexology and Indian Head massage. Over the years I have dealt with clients both male and female ranging in age from 16 to 90 and have been able to help with problems ranging from muscular aches and pains to more complex stress and lifestyle related problems. I have a core of regular clients who started off with specific problems but now use a regular massage appointment to maintain their general feeling of wellbeing. I take great care to suit a treatment to the needs of a client and still take great satisfaction from seeing a client improve. I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists, membership of which requires that I comply with their code of practice and ethical standards and also that I commit to a program of continuous professional development.
