Ever grabbed a protein bar 30 min before your workout and felt sick halfway through your session π€’? This is WHY and what I do to avoid this:
For my afternoon and evening sessions, I want to be fuelled - but I don't want my food to make a reappearance on the gym floor π
Protein and fats take a long time to break down, which is why you don't want to eat full fat yoghurt, peanut butter, cheese, eggs, protein bars or meats close to hitting the gym (leave minimum 90min)
A piece of toast, a banana π, apple or some cereal are great options if your blood sugars are low (they will be if you haven't eaten the last 4 hrs)
Try this next time and you won't flag halfway through your session because you skipped the snack or feel sicky from grabbing the wrong food π
