Here's some interesting facts you may not know!
Melasma occurs when the pigment-producing cells in your skin, known as melanocytes, become overactive and produce excess melanin. This condition is often triggered by factors such as sun exposure, hormonal changes, pregnancy, birth control pills, stress, or genetic predisposition. The result is the appearance of dark brown or grayish patches, typically found on the cheeks, forehead, upper lip, and nose. UV rays and heat can exacerbate melanin production, causing these patches to darken and become more persistent. Therefore, using sun protection is crucial in preventing and managing melasma.
My go to recommendations for pigmentation:
✨Regular in salon treatments of microdermabrasion, skin peels such as lightening peel.
At home: skin brightening complex, protect and repair ( factor 40)
