Are you visually impaired or support someone who is, and travel by bus in the Black Country ? Do you use buses and have experienced particularly challenging journeys? Would you like to have some kind of insight and briefly experience what it’s like to travel with a visual impairment ??

Look no further…

Our wonderful volunteers (and I) would like to invite you along to ‘meet the buses’ THIS Friday 27th August - drop in anytime between 10am and 1pm at Wolverhampton bus garage, park lane :)

Try on our simulation specs
Walk around the different bus styles
Speak with drivers and training staff from national express
Discuss how your journey can be made more accessible and less anxious
(And in true Lu style enjoy a tasty treat or two)

Together with National Express we have the opportunity for you to come along and walk through the layout of the different bus styles, chat to drivers and training managers about your experiences and discuss how changes can be made to improve accessibility of buses in the region.

This week our littlest lady had her annual sight check.... All good for another year :)

When did your children last have an eye test.... Are they overdue?!? If so, make that call or send that email and get them booked in....

I'm off to do a final workshop of the year at a local school tomorrow... :)

I know I have been quiet on here for a while... Busy with work (at a local sight loss charity) and house renovations... but I shall be back with you all in the new year :)

Yesterday was my annual appointment with the ophthalmologist....

Anaesthetic drops, dilation drops, pressure tests....

Here are my eyes just before bed around 8 hours after dilation...
