Where would I be without you?! If you have been to a class, event or know me at all you'll know I always come with and its pretty much my signature scent. They have become an integral part of my daily rituals, self care and yoga teaching.
I recently spent a week in Portugal with The magic she curates is like no other the most intentional and joyful experience. Filled with yoga, plants, scents, products, inspiration and wonderful people.
Through these products and experiences Katrino draws out your authentic self and you canโt not be inspired, transformed and challenged in a good way - to move past what is comfortable and lean into something new. Katrinoโs joy, passion and inquisitive nature is infectious.
And if you havenโt experience any of Yogi Oils products you are missing out. Candles inspired by the seasons, oils / mists to awaken the senses and work with the elements to rebalance, and natural skin care to die for! You need to get yourself in the know!
Big BIG love for this weee Scottish brand ๐

Autumn Equinox + The New Moon ๐๐๐
A big reset point, the start of a new season. A point in time where light and dark are equal - restoring balance. Many celebrate harvest festival at this time due to the abundance of wealth from the earth and nature. A chance to be in gratitude and move with intention for the next season.
Nature is one of our biggest guides and teachers, all seasons have a purpose / meaning. We live in a world where we dont honour this. The change and fluctuation is vital for a deeper understanding of ourselves, we too must change and adapt, let things go in order to help us grow and evolve, to flow and be present in life. From this we can move closer to being more connected and supported.
As we leave one season behind, what are you ready to release to create space for the new? What intentions will you be setting to guide you? How will you start to slow down?
โIn an age of speed, nothing can be more invigorating than going slow.
In an age of distraction, nothing can feel more luxurious than paying attention. And in an age of constant movement, nothing is more urgent than sitting still.โ - Cit. Pico Iyer from The Joy of Quiet

Myofascial Release ~ SomaRoll โซ๏ธโช๏ธ
What is it?
The practice with the balls....
Myofascial release or MFR creates space and suppleness in the body. It is the perfect complementary practice to life - getting older, sitting at a desk, activities that build up tension and tightness in the body. We often move in familiar patterns, and our body holds and stores experiences and stories. We carry so much as individuals and collectively. MFR disrupts these patterns and carrying, allowing a new story to be told, moving the energy in the body more freely.
It targets our fascia a big web that wraps through our entire body. Specifically, this pracrice works with the fascia of the muscles, but we know that everything is connected.
Offering tools to dissolve stagnation and tension, increase movement, restore balance, and renew the flow of energy.
It gives you a chance feel what is really going on and let any layers of holding that build up from life to melt away, allowing the body to take a big sigh and feel freer, that buttery soft feeling!
What's not to love??!!! Its soo good you will be buying your own balls and rolling around at home, you wont know what you did without them!
If you are interested in bringing this practice to your home, studio, gym or anywhere else - feel free to DM or drop me an email yogabythelune@gmail.com

Still Yoga
.. just not asana (the physical practice), there are many elements to Yoga that we don't often see or associate with Yoga. Maybe social media and marketing has a lot to do with that.
Practices of greater self-awareness, consciousness, compassion, connetion and guides to living more harmoniously with yourself, others, and nature.
I've been making Tuesday Evening's a weekly act of self care. After consistently attending Stength for 7 weeks, I've been building in a little habit of making the rest of the evening nourishing for me. It's not always the same but it has helped with recovery after being put through my paces , allowed me to switch off from work, social media, and all the external noise. We all need a bit of this!
๐ a bath with espom salts, magnessium flakes, and some essential oils

๐ this months book club read
๐๐ปโโ๏ธ creating my own little spa with hair potion from (this is a great one if your into swimming to protect your hair and give it some nourishment whilst under your swim cap), a heavenly massage oil gifted to me by some ninja balm for those gym aches and a little magnessium butter to pop on the soles of my feet before bed.
Absolutely top-tier evening and sleep! You don't have to wait for a special occasion or the right time to look after you. Building in practices to be 1% better every day ๐
