Sometimes it’s hard to pick up the phone.

At Fife Alcohol Support Service (FASS) we understand. So when you pick up the phone and ask for help, we get it. It’s not easy to ask for help but that’s why we are here. And why we’ve been here for 48 years.

Sometimes, we reach a point where all gets a bit too much. When life events happen and you seek comfort from a drink. Now, don’t get us wrong, we’re not saying there is anything wrong with having a drink. Here, at FASS, we support clients choice to reduce their alcohol to a healthy level or abstinence. However, if it’s affecting your relationships, your health or your life in general, we’re here to help.

So, what can you expect when you pick up the phone?

Well, we’ll take your details and keep them confidential. We’ll tell you about counsellor availability. How soon an appointment is available and when you’ll receive your appointment confirmation.

You don’t have to tell us about your drinking but if you want to, we’ll listen. We’ll be accepting and non-judgemental and if you need to speak to a counsellor we can arrange this for you. We can tell you what to expect at your first appointment and what you are committing to.

We also offer a service to significant others; family members and friends who are concerned about someone in their lives who is affected by alcohol. We’ll listen and offer support and if you would like an appointment we can arrange this too.

Sometimes it’s hard to pick up the phone. When you’re ready we are here.
