Remember, Remember the 5th of November! 💥

This morning our group activity was all about Guy Fawkes and the famous Gunpowder Plot! We wrapped up the session with a creative challenge — working together to make our very own “Guy.”

This afternoon things got scientifically explosive (in a safe way, of course!) during 1:1 time. We experimented with chemical reactions, creating our own mini fireworks and watching the fizz, pop, and whoosh of different combinations using everyday items like vinegar, glitter, bicarbonate of soda, and food dye. Some experiments were definitely more spectacular than others! 😂

🎃 Halloween Party 2025! 🎃

And that’s Halloween done and dusted for another year! 👻 We couldn’t let it pass without our annual Halloween party — and what a fantastic afternoon it was!

We had plenty of laughs and a bit of friendly competition with dookin’ for apples, doughnuts on (and off!) a string, a very competitive round of Halloween Bingo, and of course our annual “Make a Mummy” competition! 🧻🎃

A massive thank you to our amazing care team for getting into the Halloween spirit, and to our kitchen team for putting together a spook-tacular buffet! 🕸️🧁🕷️

Get in the groove! 🎶

We decided a night before Halloween party sounded like a good excuse for some music and good times! We once again enjoyed live entertainment from Luke Lyk Sid - a favourite here at Gowrie! With a few of our ladies winning big on the raffle! We even had a go at wheelchair Gay Gordon’s! Not one to be missed ! Can’t wait to do it all again at our annual Halloween Party - costumes at the ready !

This mornings group activity was all about the spooky senses! We tried a guessing game of feeling mystery household objects based on touch and smell alone - don’t worry none of it bites 😂

We're heading into spooky season now and we're happy to announce our Halloween Events!

On Thursday 30th we're welcoming Luke Lyk Sid to some live entertainment - he's a much enjoyed entertainer here at Gowrie, so we cant wait to welcome him back!

On Halloween Morning we've invited our wee friends from Little Beehive Nursery - Kirkcaldy to come 'guising' round our home! Sweeties at the ready!

And in the afternoon at 2:30 we're holding our annual halloween bash with plenty of Halloween Games - anyone for dooking for apples?
