Great value in the room last week at Fife Networking, with two very different but equally impactful member presentations.

🎓 Raeburn Training
A brilliant insight into how Raeburn Training supports businesses through structured training delivery, workforce development and health & safety consultancy. From managing large-scale training matrices to delivering employer-led academies, the focus is on helping businesses grow, stay compliant and develop skilled, job-ready people. A strong example of how training isn’t just a requirement — it’s a strategic tool for growth.

🎨 Fairways Decorators
A more personal and engaging presentation showcasing the people behind the business and the values that drive it. Fairways highlighted the importance of trust, attention to detail and understanding client needs — whether that’s for preservation, decoration, sanitation or simple improvement. A reminder that quality service and relationships sit at the heart of every successful project.

Two very different sectors, but one clear message: understanding your client and delivering real value is what sets businesses apart.

Exactly what this network is all about.

Great to hear from two excellent businesses at Fife Networking recently, both bringing valuable insight from very different sectors.

Internet Creation Ltd, led by Ian Paltiel, delivered a really clear and practical session on paid advertising and digital growth. A key takeaway—ads don’t fail, strategy does. From Google Ads capturing demand to Facebook ads creating demand, it reinforced the importance of strong foundations, clear targeting and continuous optimisation to drive real results.

We also heard from Olivia McGowan of Innes Johnston LLP, Solicitors & Estate Agents, who provided a great overview of the services they offer and how they support individuals and businesses through key life and legal matters. It was a strong reminder of the importance of having trusted, professional advice in place, and the real value a good solicitor brings when it matters most.

Both presentations showcased the quality, knowledge and support within the network—great businesses, great people, and real collaboration.

If you’re looking to grow your business or connect with trusted local professionals, Fife Networking is a brilliant place to start.

Fife Networking Visitor Day 2026 🚀

What a morning.

Over 40 visitors in the room.
Alongside 33 committed members.
The biggest buzz we’ve had in a long time.

The photos speak for themselves — energy, conversations, connections and real business being discussed.

As we said in the presentation:

“Today isn’t about joining.
It’s about deciding whether this is the right room for your business.”

Fife Networking is built on:

âś” Trust
âś” Consistency
âś” Mutual support
✔ Real referrals — not just contacts

And that only works because of the people in the room.

A huge thank you to our members who invited guests along and represented the group exactly as they always do — professionally, positively and proactively.

And to every visitor who came through the door this morning — thank you. We hope you gained something valuable, whether that’s a new connection, a new perspective on networking, or a new opportunity.

We’ve already had a very strong start to 2026, with new members joining us — and after today, we’re excited to see what comes next.

If you’re looking for a room where people actively support your growth, not compete with it — you might just have found it.

Strong presentation this week at Fife Networking from Julie Sullivan, Director at Young and Partners Business Lawyers.

Julie gave a clear overview of how their team supports businesses across:

▪️ Companies & Corporate
▪️ Construction & Engineering
▪️ Property & Leasing
▪️ Employment & HR
▪️ Litigation & Dispute Resolution

What stood out was the practical case studies — from negotiating tenant-friendly commercial leases and managing complex refinance transactions, to supporting multi-stage investments and company sales.

A key takeaway: good legal advice isn’t just about documentation — it’s about protecting commercial objectives, managing risk early, and putting businesses in a stronger position for growth.

Another great example of the depth of expertise within our network.

Great value in the room at Fife Networking this week, with two member presentations.

🏡 Homes by Dominique - Duncan McIntosh
Duncan McIntosh shared the story behind a family-run, design-led business built largely on repeat work and word-of-mouth referrals. The key takeaway was simple but powerful: great referrals come from listening. Whether it’s home frustrations, wish-list conversations or plans for improvement, knowing what to listen out for makes it easier to spot opportunities and introduce the right people at the right time.

💼 Funding for British Business – Mike Horn
Mike gave a clear, practical overview of how he supports businesses with debt finance — from growth and cashflow to refinancing and restructuring. A strong reminder that funding isn’t one-size-fits-all, and that having the right guidance early can reduce risk, save time and support better long-term decisions.

The link between both presentations?
Referrals only happen when people understand what you do, who you help, and when to think of you.

Exactly what good networking should focus on.

Member Spotlight | Presentation Highlights

Great insight in the room today from two of our members who delivered strong presentations.

🔹 James Hurles – Howdens Kirkcaldy
James shared a practical overview of how Howdens supports the local trade, highlighting their free survey and design service, extensive product range, and the flexibility they offer through in-depot and on-site support.
A useful reminder of the value of building relationships early and how the right supplier partnership can make a real difference to projects, clients, and delivery.

🔹 Lauren Pratt – Kilmac
Lauren’s presentation focused on why early engagement matters in construction and civil engineering — from programme certainty and quality control to social value delivery and long-term client relationships.
She also shared how Kilmac’s employee-owned model, regional strength, and commitment to measurable social value supports clients while creating lasting impact in the communities they work in.

Two very different sectors, but a common theme throughout both presentations: strong relationships, early conversations, and adding value beyond the transaction.
