Remedial, Sports and Swedish Massage Therapy

As sports people we all tend to push our bodies to the limit short-changing it on recovery and sleep in the quest of balancing work, life and sport. What is Sports Massage? Massage has been recognised for its benefits in the healing of mind, body and soul for centuries. Massage helps to relieve muscle tension and restore balance to the musculoskeletal system. This type of massage is applied at a deeper level into the tissues in order to stimulate the muscular and nervous system. Sports massage can be applied to your specific needs, whether preparing for and event or assisting recovery. BUT....

Sports massage is not just for athletes. Whether you are an office worker, a construction worker, retired or a soon-to-be mum, sports massage or deep tissue massage can be beneficial. The Benefits of Sports Massage

Regular sports massage or deep tissue massage is a great way to assist in avoiding developing injuries. Athletes who train regularly, find tension built up in the muscles which may then affect the joint mobility. Tension can cause excessive stress on ligaments, joints and tendons. Sports massage/ deep tissue massage can help maintain the body in a better condition, prevent injuries and loss of mobility, cure and restore mobility to injured muscle tissue, boost performance.

Thank you to everyone this week being patient with school holidays, childcare issues, broken tooth and sadly my old boy, Obi, had to get put to sleep yesterday. He was the oldest recovery lab member, a good helper when he came in with his mum to do paperwork and was always willing to chase a ball!
