Medicines waste costs money and harms the environment - here are four easy things that everyone can do to help prevent it. Make sure you only order what you need, and keep a list of your medicines and doses as a reminder. Check your medicines before you leave the pharmacy - once medicines leave the pharmacy they can't be recycled or used by anyone else. Store them safely, and return any unnecessary or expired medicines to a pharmacy, so they can be disposed of properly without polluting rivers and seas.
