There is no evidence linking paracetamol use in pregnancy with autism. If you’re pregnant and unsure about what medicines you can take, speak to your midwife, GP or pharmacist - they’re there to guide you. You can also visit our trusted info page below.

You can take normal doses of paracetamol if you're breastfeeding, in line with NHS guidance.
