Nic Paterson, Holistic Therapist Holistic Healer & Teacher I offer a number of different therapies, all with the same purpose – to help you return to, or maintain, a positive state of health.

I am a holistic healer and teacher, working mainly in Kirkwall, Orkney where I have a therapy room within the North Isles Chiropractic Clinic. In addition, I run workshops and classes throughout the year to encourage and support people to help themselves on their path through life. Our lives nowadays are stressful and few of us allow enough time to relax and breathe out. This can lead to many and varied conditions, ranging from backache and shoulder tension to depression and digestive problems. My healing sessions can help to rectify this – All my treatments work holistically, working on all levels (mind, body and spirit) to boost wellbeing, reduce stress and leave you feeling healthier and happier. As I work intuitively, I use an appropriate combination of therapies to achieve this.

While this festival reminds us of the growing light and potential, both personally and in the world around us, it is a time for quiet reflection and peace...a pregnant pause before the burst into life and the year ahead πŸ™βœ¨οΈπŸ™
Try to take the time to sit quietly, breathe and be πŸ’› Travel within and become more aware of what feels right, what you wish to empower and how best to keep yourself grounded, nurtured and in balance 🩷 This is not the time to rush or push too hard but a time of quiet contemplation and patience. Just like in the natural world, the more we can nurture ourselves and attend to our needs, the stronger we become and the more resilient as the year unfolds before us 🌱πŸͺ»πŸŒ±
So, take February slowly...breathe in the growing light, allow it to build up in your system and feel your awareness expand as your inner light strengthens and with it, your smile and potential πŸ™πŸ˜Šβœ¨οΈ
If you need a bit of encouragement with the inner work there will be an online Relaxation Half Hour on Wednesday 18th at 8pm. There are also guided meditations under the video section of this page. If you would like the link to the session or the recording, please get in touch.
There will also be a Clinic Reiki Share at 7pm on Wednesday 25th. This is open to Reiki students and practitioners but space is limited so please let me know if you'd like to book a place.

✨️ As we move into the new year, it's important to remember to take time to nurture and care for ourselves. The more attention we pay to strengthening and empowering ourselves, on all levels, the lighter we become and the more able and aware πŸ™
January is traditionally a month to courie in and lie low, allowing ourselves the chance to rest and recharge in readiness for the rising, spring energies 🌱 The weather has definitely helped with that this year, and possibly encouraged us to focus more on priorities, letting the chatter and hassles subside so we can simply be cosy and safeπŸ™
If you feel in need of some help with relaxing and rebalancing though, there will be a free, online Relaxation Half Hour on Wednesday 14th January at 8pm. This will include some simple breathing exercises and a guided meditation to clear stress, boost energy and relax mind, body and spirit 🩷 The more relaxed we are, the better we function and the healthier our natural energy flow πŸ’«
For Reiki practitioners and students, there will also be an online Share at 8pm on Wednesday, 21st January.
Both these sessions are recorded so you can access them anytime, even if you can't join in on the night.

Your breath is your greatest tool for balance, calm and well-being - yet most of us spend our days barely aware of it.

As you may know I have recently completed a 20 hour Breathing with the Seasons course, which builds on my Breath Course levels 1 & 2 which I learnt in my Yoga teacher training 3 years ago.

These new techniques enable me to teach you these fantastic techniques to help relieve stress, anxiety, overwhelm, headaches and help you sleep better. I can’t wait to share some of these amazing breaths with you.

Over the next week I will share more information on the benefits of consciously breathing.

πŸ‚ Most of us will be experiencing stormy weather this week. It's not a surprise as we are well into Autumn, but it still causes disruption and chaos on all levels as it moves through 🌊
This year has been a particularly stormy one for many with peaks and troughs of emotion and experiences. Sometimes we forget the good stuff when we find ourselves going through the mill, or don't allow ourselves the chance to reflect and acknowledge how far we have come and what we have achieved. Now is the time of year to travel within and appreciate where we have been and who we are now πŸ™ We will all have weathered a lot but we have emerged from the chaos clearer, lighter and wiser βœ¨οΈπŸ’›βœ¨οΈ
Embrace the change and release offered by the storms, and allow yourselves to shine brightly as your light strengthens and you adapt to the new way of being πŸ™πŸ’«πŸ™

The Relaxation Half Hours are at 8pm and open to all. A chance to relax and recharge ✨️ If you can't join on the night, each session is recorded so please let me know if you'd like added to the recording list.

The Reiki Share is also at 8pm. It is open to all Reiki students and practitioners, and is a chance to practise Hatsu Rei, receive an empowerment and join in group healing and meditation πŸ™ If you can't take part on the night, a recording is available.
