An excellent day of T'ai Chi. The group vibe/sync, call it what you will, was top drawer. Thank you to all those who came and looking forward to the next!

Well, we had our T'ai Chi Workshop Day and call me biased but what a really good day it was! Flying Hands, K'ai Men, Tao Yin, Two Hands v One, Back to Back in Dragon, in Leopard even, the Stick, the Form. We did it all and more. A full day in good company. But seriously, it is an excellent way to learn, practice and refine your T'ai Chi by going somewhere different from your usual practice class and mixing with others, friends or acquaintances seldom seen or new and keen. Big Thumbs up to Paul for leading the day too. Check out the pics and vid; recognise the sequences, can you name them? Looking good people, looking good.

It’s the Chinese New Year and 2023 is the year of the Rabbit. The Chinese zodiac assigns an animal and its reputed attributes to each year in a repeating twelve-year cycle. The rabbit is the fourth animal in the cycle and is associated with hope and a long life. People born in the year of the rabbit are believed to be clever, compassionate and sincere. In true yin and yang spirit of course, the “other” side of the rabbit can be linked to their kindness being seen as a weakness by some and a tendency towards being over-cautious.
That aside welcome to Little Dragon T’ai Chi Knaresborough. We practice the Chinese art of Lee style T’ai Chi which is a yin/yang style benefiting the joints and muscles, relaxing the mind and body and increasing the body’s natural energy.
Its history can be traced back thousands of years and has even undergone modern day research to prove its values. The BBC Radio 4 prog Just One Thing on 18th January speaks with Dr Parco Siu from the University of Hong Kong who has been studying the health benefits of T’ai Chi for over a decade. A worthwhile listen.
So if you're not for busting a gut in the gym but want the benefits of a full body workout and mind/body harmony that mindfulness can bring, come and join us.
