🎆 BONFIRE NIGHT 🎆

What better way to end a wintery November evening than pie and peas and some low noise fireworks 🎇 🥧

With the beautiful grounds that enclose us, we wanted to celebrate bonfire night and still think of the wild life that surrounds our home 🦌🦉🐴🐿️🦔

The residents watched from the comfort of the dining room after their main course and just before dessert commenced- we gathered at the bay window and thoroughly enjoyed the display of colours which brought back some wonderful memories 💭

Joyce and Connie were a huge fan 😊

However you choose to spend this evening, please stay safe ❤️

November is National Family Caregivers Month 🩷💚

This month, we recognise and celebrate all the incredible family members who continue to care in so many ways, after their loved one comes into our care.

Their care doesn’t stop at our doors, it becomes part of our home.

Families are an incredibly important part of our community.

They join in activities, pop the kettle on, lend a hand at our summer fairs and Christmas parties, they share laughter and friendship with residents and our teams! 🥰

Thank you to all the families who are part of We Care Group and Summit Care Group.

We decided to ditch the weekly Friday bingo for an afternoon of spooky laughter, singing and dancing at our Halloween Party 🥳 following a morning of ghoulish games 🃏🎲

The wonderful Shane came to join us this afternoon as we got up and danced to the monster mash and Rocky Horror Picture Show 🎤🎙️
We always love when Shane comes to visit us!

Fancy dressed was welcomed and Mave got right into the spirit of Halloween with her outfit! She looked freakishly fantastic as a witch 🧙 and we had a special pumpkin come to join in the fun with us all- as Cassie had brought her beautiful baby nephew down to enjoy in all the fun and the residents couldn’t help but steal a cuddle 🥰🎃👶🏼

Our wonderful chef Stuart had put on a buffet for us to enjoy for our evening meal (don’t worry we still had fish and chips for lunch 🐟🍟) a selection of picky bits and some delicious homemade cakes and buns to share with everyone 🧁😋

Thank you to Maria Goods Funeral Directors, Harrogate for coming down to help us this afternoon and for her selection of baked goodies that were enjoyed by all 🧡
