Today I had the pleasure of speaking with an amazing group of women about cardiovascular wellness at the meet up. ❤️ (Thank you for having me!)

We talked about the importance of understanding our own risk factors, making small but powerful lifestyle changes, and most importantly, taking preventive steps before problems arise.

Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death for women, yet so much of it is preventable through awareness, early action, screening and consistent self-care.

These conversations remind me why this work matters - empowering women to take control of their health, its so important!

I love the work I do - Wellness is prevention and everyone can do something to help prevent cardiovascular disease. The earlier we start, the stronger our hearts and our futures will be.

A new clinical trial shows measurable changes in brain energy, mood, and cognitive function in peri- and postmenopausal women after 8 weeks of a trial of creatine hydrochloride.

It's not about muscle when we talk about creatine - it's about wellness and getting our bodies to function well.

While this was a small study, its the first of its kind and is a big step forward in womens health and wellness.

its Menopause awareness month: Let’s Talk CHOLESTEROL! 💬

Oestrogen is cardio protective, as it declines total and LDL cholesterol tends to rise and HDL declines. High cholesterol often shows no symptoms — but it quietly increases your risk of heart disease and stroke.

❣️ Your nutrition should always be personalised but there are a few things you can be in control of to keep that cholesterol at bay...

🥑 Not all fats are bad! Swap saturated fats (like butter & fatty meats) for healthy fats (like avocado, olive oil, and nuts).
🌾 Go for soluble fiber : oats, lentils, apples & flaxseeds help lower LDL (the “bad” cholesterol).
🚫 Limit ultra-processed foods : trans fats = cholesterol’s worst enemy.
🍷 Be mindful of your alcohol intake.

PS:
🍳 Eggs aren’t the enemy - moderation is key... they are a good source of protein!
