🚨 Important Update from Stable Minds🚨

Our original Instagram pages were recently hacked and permanently suspended, which means we’ve sadly lost access to years of memories, updates and community connections.

But we’re starting fresh — and stronger — with one new joint page for both our children & young people’s centre and our adult services.

👉 Please follow to stay connected, see our latest projects and continue being part of the Stable Minds community.

Every follow, share and tag helps us rebuild what we’ve lost. Thank you for always standing beside us.

With warmth,
The Stable Minds Team

We were invited to meet the High Sheriff of Cheshire, the amazing donors who had funded us through a grant earlier this year, and Helen from the to talk all things Stable Minds. Sitting there and sharing our story was emotional. It reminded me how far we’ve come and just how many lives have been touched along the way.

We spoke about where it all began ..with a girl, a rainbow umbrella and a plan to make mental health support feel human again. To see that small act of kindness grow into two community hubs, an outreach service and a team who give everything they have to help others was really special.

It felt amazing to talk about what’s next too, and the exciting projects we have moving forward to make mental health support even more accessible for the people who need it most.

I left feeling proud, a little teary and incredibly grateful. Grateful for the belief others have shown in us, and for every single person who continues to walk beside us on this journey.

A huge thank you to Helen and the team at the Cheshire Community Foundation, and to the donors who have supported Stable Minds — your kindness and belief in what we do truly makes a difference.

We’re part of the Co-op Local Community Fund

We’re so excited to share that Stable Minds CIC has been chosen as one of Co-op’s Local Community Fund causes. This means every time you shop at the Co-op and choose us as your cause, you’ll be helping us continue supporting adults across our community who are struggling with their mental health.

Every purchase of Co-op branded products will send a small donation our way and together those small acts make a big difference.

Your support will directly fund our community drop-in service at Stable Minds, helping us keep our doors open to anyone who needs a safe space, a listening ear and mental health support when it matters most.

💙 How to help

1. Become a Co-op member if you’re not already

2. Log in to your account or visit coop.co.uk/membership

3. Choose Stable Minds CIC as your local cause

Thank you for standing with us and helping to make mental health support truly accessible for everyone.

Time to say goodbye

After three seasons with Altrincham FC, my time with the club has come to an end.

It’s hard to describe what this chapter has meant. Working with the lads, being part of their journeys, seeing them grow both on and off the pitch has been a privilege. To the players who’ve moved on and those still here, you’ve all shown courage, honesty and a willingness to work on yourselves that I’ll always admire.

To every fan who’s stopped me at games or reached out to talk about their mental health, I see you. That takes bravery. Those moments remind me why I do what I do and why these conversations matter so much.

In a time where there’s so much uncertainty, I honestly believe the psychological side of football needs to be strengthened, not reduced. But when the role takes up so much time and energy, I can’t continue this season without any payment going back into Stable Minds.

I’ve absolutely loved my time with Altrincham FC. The whole team works above and beyond, and if you could see how hard the staff and players graft day in and day out, I think you’d be shocked. It’s a club full of heart, drive and togetherness, and I’ll miss being part of that more than I can say.

To say I’ll miss football is something I never thought I’d say, but I really will. I’ll be watching from the sidelines with pride, grateful to have been part of it all. You all know where to find me if you ever need a cuppa and a chat.

Join me today on Radio Alty at 12 as I talk all things Stable Minds, community and mental health.

Our beloved Domino 🐾

Yesterday evening, our beautiful therapy dog Domino was involved in a freak accident. The last 12 hours have been some of the scariest we’ve ever faced.

A huge thank you to Knutsford Vetenary Practice, especially Rachel, for their quick response and care, to Vets Now Manchester for keeping him safe overnight in ICU, and to Movement Referrals for taking over his specialist orthopaedic and neurological care this morning.

Last night, it looked like Domino could have damaged his spinal cord, pelvis, and hip, and he has open wounds on his underbelly. After pain relief and overnight care, we transferred him early this morning — and incredibly, he managed to walk on three legs. His spine appears unaffected. He’s heading into surgery today to have his hip repaired and faces a long recovery, but he’s going to be ok.

Domino has been there for so many of our clients in their darkest hours, offering comfort, calm, and love when words weren’t enough. He’s also been by my side every step of the way, from that rainbow umbrella on the park bench to the Stable Minds we are today. Now it’s our turn to be there for him.

To our Stable Minds team, thank you for holding things together today as we missed our World Mental Health Day event to stay with him. And to everyone who came along, thank you for your kindness and understanding, I hope you enjoyed the cakes 😊

Please keep everything crossed for our boy as he begins his recovery. He means the world to us.

World Mental Health Day 2025

Today’s theme is Access to Services, something that truly reflects who we are at Stable Minds.

We believe everyone deserves to feel supported when they need it most, without waiting, barriers or judgment. Our doors are always open to our community because everyone deserves a safe space to talk, connect and be heard.

To celebrate, we’re holding a Cake and Coffee Morning from 9am to 1pm at our Knutsford Hub. Come along, enjoy something sweet, meet our team and find out more about the support we offer.

Together we can make access to mental health support feel human, kind and local.
