Stable Minds CIC A mental health centre that is your safe place.
💙 1:1 counselling support
💙 Support groups

Last week we walked into four different schools for Children’s Mental Health Week. Four halls. Hundreds of children. Countless conversations.

We brought our sensory wellbeing activities, created calm in busy spaces, and gave children simple tools to understand and regulate their emotions.

Every school was different. Every group of children was different. But the message was the same.

When children feel safe, they learn better.
When they feel understood, they thrive.

If you know a school that would benefit from a Stable Minds CIC experience — whether that’s our sensory safe space, wellbeing workshops, or staff sessions — please tag them below or share this post.

We’d love to bring it to them.

Our new website is live and it feels like a really special moment.

You can now book a counselling session directly, or have a look at the new workshops happening in our Creative Hub. Spaces that have been shaped by the people who use them, with care, warmth and real thought behind every detail.

Whether you need a 1:1 space to sit and be heard, or a creative space to connect, breathe and just be, you’re so welcome here. There’s no pressure to know what you need before you arrive. We’ll figure it out together.
Take a look, book in, or share it with someone who might need it.

Workshop spaces are limited, so do book ahead if something speaks to you.

We are so pleased to share that our new website is live and our Creative Hub is now open for bookings.
The hub has been created as a warm, welcoming space for connection, creativity and emotional wellbeing, shaped by the voices of our community. Each workshop has limited availability to keep groups small, safe and supportive, so we encourage booking early.

This is just the beginning. We will be adding more workshops over the coming weeks for children, young people and adults, each thoughtfully designed to support wellbeing, confidence and connection.

To book a space, please click the link.
We cannot wait to welcome you into the hub.

We can finally share a little secret we’ve been holding close.....

This February, we’ll be opening the doors to our new Community Creative Hub.

It’s a space shaped by connection. A place to come together, learn new skills, share what you love, and spend time with others in a way that feels safe, welcoming, and human. Whether that’s through creativity, conversation, movement, or something quietly thoughtful, this hub is about people being with people.

We believe creativity and learning sit at the heart of wellbeing. When we make space to connect, confidence grows, isolation eases, and community starts to feel possible again.

As we prepare to open, we’re inviting anyone who would like to hold a workshop to get in touch. This could be art, music, crafts, writing, wellbeing, life skills, or something entirely your own. If you have something to share and a gentle, inclusive way of holding space, we would love to hear from you.

Please email Contact@stable-minds.co.uk with a little about your idea.

More details coming very soon. We can’t wait to welcome you in.

We are really proud to share something new with our community.

Thanks to funding from Manchester Airport , we have opened a dedicated gaming suite at Stable Minds Childrens centre. This space allows us to offer therapeutic support through gaming, meeting children and young people in a world that already feels familiar and safe to them.

Since lockdown, we have seen a significant rise in social anxiety among children and young people. For many of the young people we support, gaming has been one of the few places where they have felt connected, confident and understood. It has come up again and again in conversations with families and young people themselves.

As always, we have listened.

This gaming suite is not about screens for the sake of it. It is about using gaming as a bridge. A gentle first step into support for those who may find traditional counselling overwhelming or inaccessible. Through guided gaming sessions, our practitioners can build trust, explore emotions, support regulation, and gradually help young people develop confidence both online and offline.

We hope this will be a meaningful intervention for children and young people who struggle to walk through the door, but are ready to connect in their own way. It is another way we are meeting young people where they are, not asking them to fit into a system that does not work for them.

Thank you to Manchester Airport for believing in this work, and to our community for continuing to shape the services we offer. We cannot wait to see the impact this space will have. 💙

Home-Ed Families… we’d love your input

We’re teaming up with Grateful Financials to bring a series of practical financial workshops to Stable Minds. These sessions will be created especially for home-educating families, offering guidance around budgeting, planning and feeling more confident with money.

Before we launch anything, we want to understand what you actually need.

This is a invitation to help us shape something truly helpful for your family and our wider community.

If you’re interested, please take a moment to register and answer a few questions. Your feedback will guide how these workshops look, when they run and what they cover.

🚨 Important Update from Stable Minds🚨

Our original Instagram pages were recently hacked and permanently suspended, which means we’ve sadly lost access to years of memories, updates and community connections.

But we’re starting fresh — and stronger — with one new joint page for both our children & young people’s centre and our adult services.

👉 Please follow to stay connected, see our latest projects and continue being part of the Stable Minds community.

Every follow, share and tag helps us rebuild what we’ve lost. Thank you for always standing beside us.

With warmth,
The Stable Minds Team
