3 Ways to Soothe Your Nervous System (No Hypnosis Required!)
When life’s a bit too much, your body’s stress response can get stuck in overdrive. Here are three gentle ways to invite calm back in:
1️⃣ Box Breathing: Inhale for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4. Repeat 3–5 times. Your vagus nerve will thank you.
2️⃣ 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding: Notice 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 you can hear, 2 you can smell, and 1 you can taste. This will gently bring a sense of calm and control and bring you back into the present.
3️⃣ Sunlight + Stretch: Get some fresh air, step outside, let the light hit your face, and stretch your arms wide. Combines circadian rhythm support with physical release.
