Hello everyone!
Where have the past 8 months gone? How is it August? And where is the sun? 😂

Apologies to anyone who has DM'd me and not had a reply... I had no idea I wasn't receiving fb notifications. I've been receiving lots of the same questions, so here goes:

Yes my website has closed. I kept it running for 12 months during the lockdowns, even though I wasn't earning any money. Then I went from lockdown to Maternity Leave and couldn't pay for a second year with no income.
It's a shame because my website was the first step to me starting my own business 5.5 years ago.

BUT, unlike my website, my business has not closed. I will definitely reopen at some point, and will let you know nearer the time when bookings can be made 💆‍♀️.

Really looking forward to seeing you and doing lots of well needed massages and facials. Take care, Jemma x

I'd like to share some happy news 💛

Baby Caleb Taylor arrived on the 1st January 2021. He was born 2 weeks early by emergency section, weighing a very dainty 8lbs 😄. We are all well and enjoying being a family of 4.

I hope to reopen Winter 2021, and pray that the Country will be back to some normality by then. Sending all my love to you out there in these very challenging times, including all my friends in the beauty and massage business, self employed and key workers 😘.

I was supposed to have a grand reopening at the beginning of this month, but finances and building delays have meant the restructuring of my studio will take another month or two. And as I'm due to go on maternity leave at the end of November, I've made the very difficult and sad decision not to reopen.

The studio required a whole new entrance, with new doors, windows and driveway - a really big job, that should have been completed a while ago, but corona virus had other ideas.

I can't believe I haven't worked or seen my clients since March, and I missed celebrating my 5 year business anniversary.
Being self employed has been stressful this year, so I'm forever grateful for the continued support. I look forward to finally reopening my doors in 2021!

U.P.D.A.T.E

Hello everyone!
My intention was to wait until it was finished before I posted pictures. But maybe this will explain a bit better why I won't be opening this month.

So if you didn't know, we've built a house next door. This was supposed to be done in April but corona delayed things for us.

The house is almost finished but the new layout means my studio currently has no doors / no access or parking. And as you can see the grounds are a state! The window to the right of the portaloo will be the new door eventually 😂. And the space in front will be the new driveway. It's hard sharing these photos, as it looked so lovely before, but I promise it will look even better than the last time you were here.

Thank you for all of your patience. I'm desperate to get back to work. I've missed it so much and financially things are pretty stressful. Luckily most of this work was paid for prior to the pandemic!

If anyone needs recommendations for massage or beauty treatments in the mean time, many of my very talented friends are in the industry, so just send me a DM.

I've been receiving lots of lovely messages asking about appointments, so just want to confirm that I will not be opening on Monday. I'm really sorry.
No treatments are allowed to be carried out on the face. And the guidelines also suggest "avoiding skin on skin contact", which I interpret as avoiding massage. I know some salons and therapists are still offering this service, but the safety of my clients and my family are of highest importance. I won't carry out treatments where insurance will not cover.

So I'm staying patient and will wait for restrictions to be lifted before I decide on an opening date.
I want to open when I can provide the best treatments, in the most relaxed setting, with no concerns ❤ like the good old days 😊.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!
Beauty salons, massage studios, aesthetics etc can open as of Monday. This is incredible news for the industry 🥳 (and short notice 😅!!). However, there are restrictions in place - no treatments are allowed to be carried out on the face.

This includes:
Facial Waxing
Hair Removal
Lash Treatments
Brow Treatmenrs
Facials
Face / Head Massage
Advanced Skincare i.e. Dermaplaning, Microneedling etc.
Microblading
Botox and Fillers
Makeup Application

I've therefore decided I will not be opening yet. A large amount of my menu includes treatments listed above. Due to this, I can't afford to put Felicity back in nursery.

I will review this, once restrictions have been lifted. I'm so sorry not to be giving you good news today. I know people will be disappointed. I hope everyone understands my reasons. Jemma x

Hi everyone 💞
I know I've been quiet of late.

There's a lot going on here. After a few delays, our new house build finally started 2 weeks ago. So things are a little crazy. This means work to the studio will also be taking place shortly. So the next time I see you all, things will look a little bit different round here 🥰.

I've also taken a bit of a break from social media. There was only so much Corona chat I could take.
But we're all well here. Felicity still isn't back at nursery so she's keeping me very busy.

I offer a range of holistic treatments, massages, facials, advanced skin care, nails and brows. As I am an independent therapist I am able to offer treatments that I am passionate about and most importantly really love doing!

All treatments are carried out in my home studio. It is a spa inspired mini retreat located in a converted barn in the garden next to my home. I opened the studio in 2016, having previously worked at an award-winning 5 star Spa. I wanted to create something equally as relaxing but affordable.

There is off road parking, complimentary refreshments, and a calm, private environment.
