Lianne has been working on same and different with a child and has enjoyed bringing Christmas into the activities. We had a look for 2 symbols that looked the same and tried again if they were different. We could also look at describing the items once we found them ☃️ 🎁

This week we have used Christmas-themed wind-up toys during stage 1 of attention autism, capturing the children's attention and building engagement through a fun seasonal theme 🎅 🎄 ☃️

Leah has been supporting a little one to produce the final sounds of words. This week we have focused on the final 't' and used the crocodile game as a motivator. The child is encouraged to feed the word to the crocodile and produce a sentence focusing the final 't' sounds (e.g. 'eat the boot'). These final sounds can be tricky, but they're super important for clear communication 🐊

Sarah has been supporting a child to produce /l/ cluster sounds. We were picking out words which had 'sound buddies' whilst building magnet towers 🏰

Eve has been supporting a child to build longer sentences using colourful semantics eg. "Spiderman is eating an orange in the forest". It's even more fun when you favourite character is involved 😆

Rose has been working on 'front' and 'back' sounds with her reception speech group. She has been supporting their understanding of 'front' and 'back' sounds by asking the children to identify the 'front' and 'back' of a range of animals and pictures 👄 🦁 🐷 🦓

A very proud parent emailed Eve to share this amazing progress with speech sounds homework. Working closely with families helps carry learning beyond the therapy room into everyday life, where it really matters! 🌟

Natasha found this large bubble poppet toy in her local shop. It has been a great tool in speech sound therapy to achieve lots of practice trials 🍎
