Eve has been supporting a child to generalise their new ‘e’ vowel and ‘t’ sound into everyday talking. Sharing a book helped create lots of natural opportunities to practise these sounds in real, meaningful sentences- a big step up from the usual structured activities! 🪜⭐

As part of her cycles approach to speech sounds therapy this week Millie used Christmas-themed colouring during the auditory bombardment element. While the child enjoyed a calming festive activity. Millie read aloud words containing the target sound. Auditory bombardment helps children to 'tune-in' to the sound by hearing it repeated clearly and frequently- a gentle, effective way to build sound awareness 🎄
