A very proud parent emailed Eve to share this amazing progress with speech sounds homework. Working closely with families helps carry learning beyond the therapy room into everyday life, where it really matters! 🌟

Leah has found that cognitive reframing and visual supports are very effective when working with a child who pronounces a lateral /s/. The child learned to make a correct /s/ sound by thinking of it as a 'new sound' and by being shown the correct mouth placement πŸ‘„ πŸ—£οΈ

We really enjoyed being part of MMU's Employment Day last week. It was great to talk to lots of final year students about the transition to being a NQP and give some top tips for applications and interviews. We were really impressed by everyone's enthusiasm and though provoking questions. It was also lovely to catch-up with our friends at Liverpool Speech Therapy.

We would like to wish everyone the best of luck in finding their first roles once they graduate next year.

At the end of a busy half term, it's important to take time to reflect and relax. Our wellbeing afternoon included looking at the 5R's to reduce stress: rethink, reduce, reorganise, release and relax. What is our mantra for next half term? What are we going to stop doing? What are we going to prioritise? And how are we going to relax? This was followed by a fantastic yoga session with Saffrons Yoga

Thank-you to everyone for all your hard work this half term!
