✨ Our Annual Christmas Community Appeal ✨
Each year at Satya Sanctuary, we come together for our Christmas Appeal, a chance for our community to give back to the local families and individuals who need it most.
Giving is deeply rooted in the philosophy of yoga. The principle of Seva (selfless service) teaches us to support those around us; Ahimsa invites us to act with compassion; and Satya reminds us to live truthfully in connection with our wider community.
When we give, we do so not from obligation, but from a place of heart, unity and shared humanity.
This year, we’re supporting Hope Central, a wonderful organisation running a foodbank that serves people across the WA16 postcode. In the middle of a cost-of-living crisis, their work has never been more vital and every small act of kindness truly makes a difference.
So, what are we asking of you?
Hope Central has shared a list of items they urgently need to create their Christmas food parcels. Next time you’re doing your weekly shop, if you’re able to, please pick up one or more of the items below and leave it under the Christmas tree in our reception.
A tin of spam may not feel festive to you, but to someone struggling through this season, that tin might mean dignity, warmth, nourishment and hope.
