💙 Support Your GP Surgery – Try Pharmacy First 💙

Did you know you can get treatment for a range of common conditions without needing a GP appointment?

The Pharmacy First scheme allows your local community pharmacist to assess you and provide medication (where clinically appropriate) — quickly and conveniently.

✔️ No appointment needed
✔️ Expert advice from trained pharmacists
✔️ Helps reduce pressure on GP services
✔️ Fast access to treatment for common conditions

Our reception team can refer you to this service, but you can also access it directly by visiting your local pharmacy.

📍 Find your nearest pharmacy here:

By choosing Pharmacy First when appropriate, you’re helping keep GP appointments available for those who need them most. Thank you for your support!

From 1st April 2026, funding for SMS messages will be significantly reduced across Cheshire. As a result, we’ll be changing how we contact patients.

Where possible we will now be contacting you through email or the NHS App, but text messages will continue to be sent when these options are not available, and we will continue to contact patients without a mobile phone by landline or post.

Please could you help support the practice to get information to you by downloading the NHS App and turning on notifications and make sure we have your up to date email address.

💚Kidney Cancer Awareness Week – 2nd - 6th February 2026

Its Kidney Cancer Awareness Week, helping to raise awareness of a cancer that often has early symptoms that can be easy to miss.

⚠️ Symptoms to look out for include:
• Blood in your urine
• Persistent lower back pain (on one side)
• Unexplained weight loss or fatigue
• Night sweats

These symptoms don’t always mean cancer, but it’s important to get them checked. Early diagnosis can make a real difference.

If you have any concerns or notice changes that don’t feel right, please don’t hesitate to contact the practice for advice or an appointment.

Its Cervical Cancer Prevention Week!

Cervical screening saves lives. It can help stop cancer before it starts by detecting certain types of HPV (human papillomavirus) that can cause cell changes to the cervix. These cell changes are easily treated, preventing cervical cancer from developing.

If you have received an invitation for cervical screening or missed your last screening, please don’t wait – book an appointment with us now.
