This is a reminder that our next coffee morning is scheduled for next week on Tuesday, 2nd September. Same time and place. 😊

This month we have Siobhan Redwood joining us. Siobhan is a Delivery and Engagement Manager for Mid and South Essex NHS and has been invited to come along to gather our thoughts and opinions of diabetes care and services across the area.

She has provided me with a list of items (below) that Siobhan would like to cover in our conversation so that future services and treatments can be adapted to what the patient actually needs. 👍

What can we do to make suggestions for improvement in terms of patient access, experience -primary care (GP surgeries) ,specialist nurses (community clinics- e.g. Franklins Way), hospital?
What can we do to improve sharing info re-education and support from the NHS?
What sources of information do people use to support management of their diabetes?
How often do they have their checks?
What works well?
Do people know what structured educations (SWEETs) offers? Are there any recommendations on improvements for this?
