On Friday, our residents enjoyed some lovely warm croissants to celebrate National Croissant Day. 🥐 A simple treat, but a really nice change for afternoon tea — and very much enjoyed by all! 😋

Our residents enjoyed celebrating Burns Night last week with a true taste of Scotland. 🥃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 We listened to some of Robert Burns’ poetry, enjoyed the sound of the bagpipes, watched a lively Scottish Reel dance, and of course sampled some Scottish whisky and shortbread. 🎶 A wonderful afternoon filled with tradition, culture, and plenty of smiles.

Our residents have been busy taking part in the RSPB England Big Garden Birdwatch! 🐦 With binoculars at the ready, everyone enjoyed spotting and identifying different birds, sharing stories and spending time appreciating nature together. A lovely, peaceful activity that sparked plenty of conversation and smiles 💚

Allt Y Mynydd residents enjoyed a sweet tasting session over the weekend, sampling three different types of honey. 🍯 They explored Acacia Honey, Clear Honey and Soft Set Honey – taking time to look at the colour, smell each variety and, of course, have a taste. The clear favourite of the day was Soft Set Honey, which went down a treat! 🐝😋

For Fun at Work Day, our team went ALL out! Hazel, our amazing Team Leader, stole the show with her Cruella DeVil outfit - winner of the outrageous outfit contest! 😎✨ Meanwhile, staff and residents are still on a mission with our scavenger hunt, hunting down tiny ducks and sheep around the home. Who said work can’t be fun? 😄

Residents enjoyed making and tasting their own lemonade on Friday. 🍋🥤 After squeezing the lemons and adding sugar and sparkling water, the result was delicious... many even said it was better than shop-bought! 😄
