Residents enjoyed a fantastic visit from Carl Bryant's Music for Health. 🎶🎄✨ We loved singing along together to Silent Night, and it certainly left everyone feeling very festive.

On Friday evening, our residents enjoyed watching the Llanybydder & Rhydcymerau Santa’s Tractor Run. The tractors looked spectacular, lit up with beautiful Christmas lights, and brought plenty of festive cheer and smiles all round. 🚜🎄✨

The tractor drivers kindly stopped by to visit our residents, where they received a warm welcome along with mince pies and hot chocolate... a lovely moment of community spirit and festive joy.

We were especially proud to see members of our own team involved in the event. Keith, one of our Team Leaders, helped keep the drivers safe throughout the run, while Steph, another of our Team Leaders, took part in the tractor run itself. A big thank you to our day staff who kindly stayed on late to help support residents after the tractor run. As a thank you, Manager Jess treated them to pizzas, which was a lovely way to end the evening.

Events like this mean so much to our residents, creating special memories and strengthening our links with the local community. Thank you to everyone involved for making the evening so enjoyable — it was truly magical and very much loved by our residents. 🥰

Alwena is new to care, but it’s already clear that this is exactly where she’s meant to be. Her ability to deliver care with genuine empathy and compassion is exceptional. She always ensures residents are treated with dignity, respect, and as individuals - something truly valued by everyone here at Allt Y Mynydd.

Our residents enjoyed the most heart-warming visit from Plant Cwtch Childcare! ❤️ They spent the morning painting and colouring with the children, making music together and singing along to some favourite Christmas songs. Afterwards, everyone gathered to enjoy some festive story time. 📚✨

To finish the session, the children surprised our residents with the beautiful handmade Christmas cards they’d created — such a thoughtful and touching gesture. 🎄💛 It was a truly special intergenerational moment that brought smiles all around!

We recently had our Staff Awards Night along with Blaenos House Nursing Home at The Plough Hotel & Restaurant - and what a night it was! 🌟🏆

The event was a celebration of loyalty, commitment and the core values that shape Ashberry Healthcare. With immense pride, we recognised colleagues for their long service, ranging from 3 years all the way up to an incredible 25 years. Such milestones truly reflect the unwavering commitment of our amazing team.

We also celebrated outstanding attendance, honouring those who consistently show reliability and dedication. Our Employee of the Year for each home was announced, chosen from monthly nominees who demonstrate excellence day in and day out. We were also thrilled to present Wellbeing and Dementia Awareness Awards.

A huge well done to everyone who received an award - you inspire us every day. ✨

Christmas has landed at Allt-Y-Mynydd! 🎄 A massive shout-out to our wonderful Nights Team Leader, Steph, for the amazing Polar Express painting on our conservatory windows! 🚂✨

Santa has got himself stuck in one of our fireplaces, and we now have not one but five Christmas trees throughout the home! 🎅🌲 Our residents have also been busy making paper chains to decorate our dining room... Allt-Y-Mynydd is feeling very festive!

Our residents have been getting into the festive spirit with some wonderful Christmas crafts! This morning, we were delighted to welcome Canolfan Deuluol Llanybydder Family Centre for a fun and heart-warming intergenerational session. 🖍️🎨 Together, we designed our very own Christmas decorations and ended the morning with a joyful singalong. Thank you so much to our friends at the Family Centre for bringing so much warmth and cheer - we loved having you with us! 🎄✨
