Today's reflection π
Perhaps the purpose of a life is far less dramatic than we imagine.
Not a destiny waiting just beyond the horizon,
not an accomplishment that will finally prove our worth,
not an awakening that will lift us out of the messiness of being human.
Maybe it is simply this:
to be present for the moments that ask for us,
the soft ones, the difficult ones, the ordinary ones
that pass unnoticed unless we meet them with an open heart.
To pause long enough to feel the world press gently against us,
to recognize the quiet miracle of another person
sitting across from us,
carrying their own hidden ache,
their own fragile hope.
Perhaps purpose is found
in the ways we choose to show up,
listening when someone needs to be heard,
holding them when the edges of their life fray,
saying the kind word that steadies their hands
or eases their fear.
Maybe whatβs most radical
is not the quest to become something greater,
but the courage to be fully here,
alive, attentive,
letting our one wild heart
meet the world without turning away. ππͺ·π
