At Origin Spinal Injury Care, we have been providing specialist live-in spinal injury care to adults across the UK since 2001. For the most part, our clients are young adults, who are busy and active, both in work and socially. We provide fully managed, respite and long-term care, as well as a travel care service. We offer support to people who have been living with spinal injuries long-term, and those adapting to life with a spinal injury following spinal unit discharge. We're currently recruiting! We’re looking for both new and experienced live-in carers to join our team across the UK to help us bring spontaneity and freedom of life to adults living with a spinal cord injury. Whether this is your first care job, or you’ve been doing it for years, you’ll be fully supported by our experienced, established care management team, many of whom started their careers at Origin as live-in carers themselves. Care work with Origin isn’t care work as you know it; it’s your opportunity to transform someone’s life by assisting them to promote their independence, spontaneity and freedom of choice. No two clients are the same; this means there isn’t a ‘typical day’ for an Origin Personal Care Assistant. What each care assignment does have in common though, is that they’re all extremely rewarding, and you get the chance to make a real difference to people's lives.

Great care is always a team effort 💛
Our PAs often tell us that one of the best parts of the job is knowing you’re never doing it alone. From carefully planned working patterns to quick check-ins, problem-solving calls to advice and reassurance, they're here for it all.
Here’s to the care managers who lead with kindness and to the PAs who show up every single day 🌟!
Did you know, we spend real time matching our clients and PAs? We understand the impact it can have on care when our clients and carers gel well, and we were delighted to see this reflected in our most recent client survey. 🎉

📣 Our bespoke training course is CPD certified...and it's totally free!
But.. what does this mean?
CPD certification provides a third party stamp of approval on your training, meaning you can take your qualification and training through your career with you, and it means something. 💙 Here at Origin, our induction training is CPD certified and totally free to access, equipping you with skills for life, without costing you a penny.
As well as client personal care, our PAs also help our clients keep active through adapted sports and fitness regimes - just like Bogusia, pictured here with client Richard! 🏋
Each and every client is different and in turn, has different needs when it comes to fitness and exercise - being an Origin PA means you get to be part of it! From accompanying clients to team sport commitments to winter sports holidays abroad, and even working out in home gym environments, you can make a real impact, whilst having fun at the same time!
🎉 Today marks 25 years of Origin Spinal Injury Care! 🎉
On this special day, one of our co-founders, Peter Henry, reflects on the journey that, along with Linda Adamsen, led to the creation of Origin Spinal Injury Care.
From personal challenges and setbacks to building a specialist care provider supporting people with spinal cord injuries across the UK, Peter shares the experiences and motivation behind our mission to deliver truly person-centred care.
It’s a powerful reminder of why we do what we do – helping people live independently with the right support around them.
Here’s to 25 years of care, compassion, and community—and to many more ahead! 🥳
To celebrate 25 years in business with Origin Spinal Injury Care, we invited one of our co-founders, Peter Henry, to reflect on 25 years in business… August 1999 – August 2000 was a hellish year for Peter; I lost my job, a previous care business, earnings, my own care package and care funding, p...

As a Source of Specialist Live-In Care for People with Spinal Injuries, we’re proud to be one of the leading live-in care providers in the UK.
Whilst many care providers will claim to be unique, we truly are. Managing Director and co-founder Peter Henry is living with a spinal injury. Linda Adamsen, Director of Care Services and co-founder, is an experienced carer. This deep-rooted understanding of both sides of the care package means we’re able to provide care that’s thought through in ways other providers simply cannot. It means we have the greatest possible experience of what it’s like to be the client, and the carer.
Founded in 2001, our client base spans the UK, and we have offices in London and Lancaster.
Our mission? Simple. To be the best.
We’re committed to training and making our staff the best they can possibly be. Our specialist intensive training course (that every single one of our PA’s has completed) is regarded as one of the top in the country, and it doesn’t stop there. We offer refresher training and ‘earn whilst you learn’ schemes (in conjunction with a host of selected suppliers including The Open University).
Our clients are all adults, many of them with active, busy lifestyles. That means that working here is care work like no other – it’s about providing real independence for people who need it most, and bringing spontaneity and freedom into the lives of people living with spinal cord injury.
And that’s where you come in.
We’re looking for live-in carers to join our team. Find out more about why you should work with us, and how to apply, at www.liveincarework.co.uk.
