Suzee Tylee | Functional Nutrition & Integrative Oncology

I’m a Functional Nutritional Therapist with nearly two decades of clinical experience, trained at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (2006), with advanced training in Integrative Oncology (Jane McLelland, Dr Nasha Winters, Patricia Peat Institute). I work with people who feel overwhelmed, unheard or stuck in their health — especially those navigating cancer, menopause, gut issues, metabolic health, hormonal imbalance and chronic fatigue. I combine functional lab testing, evidence-based nutrition, lifestyle medicine and emotional support to help you understand your body and reclaim your health with confidence. Just grounded, compassionate care that works with your biology. Specialisms include:
• Integrative cancer care & treatment support
• Gut health & microbiome restoration
• Menopause & hormone balance
• Blood sugar, metabolic health & weight regulation
• Immune resilience & recovery nutrition
• Emotional wellbeing & nervous system support

Ways to work with me:
• 6-Week Essentials Restore Package – foundations, testing & clarity
• 12-Week Transformation Package – deeper healing, emotional work & long-term change
• Functional testing consultations & group programmes

I run a fully online clinic, supporting clients worldwide. In-person sessions are available only for local clients in Lancaster. If you’re ready for radical self-care, real answers and a personalised wellness blueprint, you’re in the right place.

✨ Science meets soul.

Choline is the poster-child nutrient for metabolic health. It improves insulin sensitivity, promotes satiety, and reduces inflammation via the vagus nerve. Yet most people don’t get nearly enough!

That’s why my recent book features choline as one of the five “missing metabolic nutrients."

Now, a new study connects choline, metabolism, and brain health with the finding that young adults with metabolic dysfunction have low choline alongside early markers of brain injury.

Some progress for safety of these meds but still a long way to go with regards to real information about the difficulties of withdrawal for so many people . As well as the long term neurological damage .

The UK’s medicines regulator (MHRA) has announced today it’s finished its 18-month antidepressant safety review, saying it’s rolling out updated patient leaflets with clearer warnings on su***de risk and persistent sexual dysfunction that can continue after stopping, as well as a new “patient card” to “further highlight the risk of suicidal behaviour.”

The announcement (linked in comments) says that “patient and family experiences” informed the review and that updates “better reflect patient feedback.”

For those of you in the US and elsewhere: the FDA and other regulators have no equivalent review and no updated black-box language, despite the exact same harms being reported here in the US and across the globe.

Stronger warnings in the UK are a small step forward, but they’re still just words on paper, decades late.

Real change is when the regulators across the world finally act, and in addition to the stronger warnings for starting antidepressants, also fund proper tapering and withdrawal support.

We’ll keep watching and keep pushing.

Want better energy, better sleep, and a calmer metabolism? Try fasting in the evening, not the morning.

Your biology LOVES rhythm. And your glymphatic system (the brain’s night-time detox + repair crew) works best when digestion isn’t stealing the spotlight.

When you stop eating earlier:
✨ Blood sugar settles
✨ Circadian hormones sync back up
✨ Inflammation drops
✨ Your glymphatic system gets to clear out the cellular “dust” that ages your brain
✨ Sleep gets deeper, cravings ease, and metabolism gets more flexible

Morning fasting can actually spike cortisol for some women — especially in peri/menopause — but evening fasting supports the body’s natural night-time healing cycle.

Back off the late-night snacks and watch your whole system shift from frazzled to future-proof.

My Story

I have been practicing functional nutritional therapy since I completed my training with the College of Naturopathic Medicine (naturopathy-uk.com ) in 2010.

I run a private clinic from my home address but also work at the charity CancerCare in Lancaster where I offer nutritional support to those in treatment for and those effected by cancer and other life limiting illnesses.

I am also delighted to work alongside Naomie-Ella Motherhood transitions to support post partem maternal wellness.

Through careful assessment of physical, mental and emotional symptoms and detailed attention to a patient's story I am able to evaluate how a person's medical history, environment, diet and lifestyle are contributing to current health issues.
